I MUCH prefer the blind judging. I think it's fairer all-round, plus you get to hear the contestants' funny commentary when the judges can't hear :)

Tims attitude was so genuine. He didn’t do a bad tattoo at all, but I did like Tony’s single better imo. I would’ve picked Tims Apple over Tony’s. But I would’ve picked Tony’s lettering and single needle over Tims if I had to in a shop. That’s just me though.

To be real, I think all the tattoos should be judged blind. I feel like I've seen dozens of instances on this show where the judges are clearly biased or influenced. While it can be entertaining to see someone fight with the judges about their work, it doesn't mean much when almost everything seems to lack of credibility. If I were a judge, I would never allow unconscious bias play into something this high-stakes.

Just imo, Tim killed that first clip. The apple and the sacred heart blew Tony out of the water. But, maybe that’s just because his were more my style. I would’ve preferred to have Tim’s tats than Tony’s. With the second clip, how he said “make sure you finish or you might not make it”, makes me realize that these competitors should be tattooing designs that can look complete even when you weren’t finished, y’know?

I feel like a lot of people tend to take new school and just assume they can throw most logic out the window with it and sure in terms of subject matter and exaggeration that works - but I’ve always felt new school also deals with scaling actual real anatomy and logic and dealing mostly with size change? Whether you go giant and super small, the anatomy should still be there partly

So you wanna put the show on hold for like a year? I don’t think that’s gonna work. But also, the tattoos would most likely hold but because the skin is all stretched when it’s applied it will probably look distorted after they loose all that weight. That’s not something the artist can help or do something about, that’s just how skin works.

On the flip side, think about some really scrawny canvases at the beginning of their bodybuilding journey, lol. Get them one piece during one season, have them come back a few seasons later jacked as all hell and have one of the challenges be touching up these fucked up tattoos.

Well first, that takes years. Which is impractical. And two, it’s unlikely that any tattoo will hold up. The client will get tons of loose skin, and any tattoo will look awful with loose skin. No way it’ll hold up. And that’s not the artists fault, that’s just how it goes.

I'm guessing the canvases on the marathons just want designs and don't care what they get? They can leave with 4 random tattoos that mean nothing to them..... I personally find that strange x

I actually like the idea that now tatoos are a common thing to do. You don’t gave to overthink it, you like cool drawings then put it on your body. Soon i am going to get a tatoo of flowers, i let the artist choose whatever flower they wanna do because i just think flowers are dope and whatever they are idc about the meaning

This seasons finale pieces were all BADASS. Tony's viking skull/helmet is awesome, Cleen always brings it, Christian's pieces were sick and TJ's samurai tiger is the best black and grey this show has ever seen.

I like the second part. All of them are very supportive and complementing each others work even if the judges didnt like them as much as I did. The only think i was meh about is Dani's ink bottle.
