Lemmy was the most genuine rockstar you would ever come across. he was the perfect blend of the hard drinking, hard drugging, dangerous badass and a guy with a sharp witted sense of humor, loveable and charasmatic. what you saw is what he was. nothing was a put on. he was perfect. R.I.P.

Jeez, Ace Of Spades has been done to death by reactors and radio. There are so many better Motorhead songs, even Lemmy hated "spades". 1916 is much more poignant and shows Lemmy's love of militaria and history.

@@370JDUB yes way better to the Motor head fans but starting a new group to listen its usually better to start with most popular then go deeper. Seen too many people react to very deep songs by artist and they end up not liking them when they should have just gone for popular for the first listen.... Cheers,

In 2015 I went to Monsters of Rock in São Paulo, Lemmy wasn't feeling well and Motorhead didn't go on stage. I missed the chance of a lifetime, but I was lucky enough to see Ozzy.❤❤

There's a great version of this song with just Lemmy & Phil Campbell playing acoustic guitar (Motorhead's guitarist). Very low key, no bombast. I really like it. It's on youtube somewhere, was included on one of their concert DVDs. Lemmy was an incredible lyricist. You should react to many more Motorhead songs, they were a great very unique band. One of the most shameful omissions from R&R Hall of Fame.

These 2 are considered 2 of The Godfathers of Heavy Metal. They were very good close friends. Lenny has passed on now. Triple H in wrestling is a huge Motörhead fan and uses Lenny’s lyrics for his entrance sound in wrestling. OZZY also has not only Sabbath but his own solo band since 1980 and I believe is in the Rock n Roll Hall If Fame for both. So check out Motörhead and OZZY solo for sure but a few other heavy metal M lettered bands that have been together since early 1980’s and are popular but not as noticeable as Metallica and Megadeth are called Metal Church and Manowar and I guaranfuckintee you that if you dived down into both of their rabbit holes you’d fucking be digging on both of them. Just my thought but check it out for yourself and make that decision on your thoughts. Love your channel Bro. You are amongst the best and my favorites.

Lenny? Really? You can't even get his name correct, Lemmy. Coined from his constant use of "Lend me a fiver" when he was broke. Spoken quickly it sounds like Lemmy a fiver, hence Lemmy was born from Ian Fraser Kilmister.

Ozzy and Motorhead both recorded the song 'Hellraiser' that Lemmy had co-written w/ Ozzy and his band... Only, Ozzy's 1991 album 'No more tears' sold 3x platinum... while Motorhead's 1992 album 'March or die' was a commercial failure. Years after Lemmy had passed away in 2015, the record company re-released the 'Hellraiser' single w/ Ozzy and Lemmy singing it together.

This is one of the few mellow Motorhead songs still alive today, another one is "1916." By far most of Motorhead's music is fast and hard. A great concert clip is "Overkill." One of my favorite songs by the band is "Eat the Rich." Although I don't see you as much of a fan of the Motorhead sound overall, they have some songs you would like. Another collaboration of Ozzy's was with Lita Ford, I can't even remember the name of the song because I didn't much care for it. But you wanted other singers with Ozzy and that was the only one I could think of off the top of my head.

Ozzy Osbourne and (the late) Lemmy Kilmister (vocalist/ bassist of Motorhead) went back decades in their friendship... I believe when Ozzy was in Black Sabbath and Lemmy was in Hawkwind in the 70's... This song came out in 1992 from the Motorhead album 'March or die'. Lemmy formed Motorhead in late 1975 after being fired from Hawkwind... it was a heavy rock trio, but they were rejected by the music industry. After years of struggle, the line-up solidified w/ 'Fast' Eddie Clarke (guitar) and Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor (drums) and were signed to make a record in 1978... Releasing their 1st album, Motorhead got an unexpected hit in the UK - a cover of 'Louie Louie' (made famous by The Kingsmen) which shocked the critics that called them the "worst band". 1979 to 1980 proved pivotal for Motorhead... they released 3 albums that sold commercially in the UK - 'Overkill' and 'Bomber' in 1979... and 'Ace of Spades' in 1980, which charted at #4 in the UK. Motorhead played faster and heavier than any band of that time and they influenced the thrash metal genre in America (Bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, Anvil, Voivod, Slayer, etc.) At the time Motorhead was taking off in the UK and Europe in 1979... Ozzy Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath. Ozzy spent months in L.A. drinking and doing drugs in a hotel, until his future wife Sharon visited him and offered to manage him and get his solo career going (while Black Sabbath was working w/ a new singer - Ronnie James Dio). In 1980, Ozzy teamed up w/ Randy Rhoads (guitar), Bob Daisley (bass) and Lee Kerslake (drums) to write an record an album 'Blizzard of Ozz' in 1980... It was picked up for release and Ozzy was in demand again. He recorded a 2nd album 'Diary of a madman' and took his new solo band on tour in the US in 1981. Motorhead was the opening band selected for Ozzy's first solo US tour... It was Motorhead's first US tour and despite their success in the UK, American record companies refused to sign Motorhead, but imported copies of Motorhead records were selling steadily in America. Even a rap group (The Beastie Boys) named their track 'No sleep til Brooklyn' that was inspired by the title of Motorhead's 1981 live album 'No sleep til Hammersmith'... However, the 80's would see bands like Metallica and Anthrax score gold and platinum selling records as thrash metal bands, while Motorhead records failed to sell commercially in the US. In 1991, Ozzy Osbourne was working on his solo album 'No more tears'... and asked Lemmy Kilmister to contribute lyrics. Lemmy wrote a few, including the huge single "Mama I'm coming home"... Motorhead were in financial crisis at the time and needed a hit record, but sales were still low. Lemmy was very grateful that Ozzy was willing to help w/ his finances... he admitted that Ozzy and Sharon paid him for his contributions in 1991 up front ... Lemmy claimed that it was more than all the money he had made after 15 years in Motorhead. Motorhead were briefly signed to Ozzy's label Epic Records, but sales for 2 albums ('1916' in 1991 and 'March or die' in 1992) were poor... Ozzy's former drummer Tommy Aldridge played drums on 'March or die'... and Slash of Guns N' Roses contributed some guitars. Their 1993 album 'Bastards' was a shot at the music industry... it was not released in the US for years... Lemmy and Motorhead carried on in 1995 (w/ Phil Campbell on guitar and Mikkey Dee on drums) and sales were still low for their 90's records, but Motorhead got a spot on Ozzy's Ozzfest '98 Summer tour and their fanbase built from there... The internet also helped Motorhead build their popularity, until their 2004 album 'Inferno' experienced a surge in sales worldwide and Motorhead albums were charting all over the world by 2008 and tours were selling out by 2011. Tragically, Lemmy Kilmister succumbed to brain cancer in 2015 at age 70, thus ending Motorhead... (R.I.P.) Ozzy recalled that he and Sharon were told that Lemmy was sick and were asked to see him... he said they were told that Lemmy had died just as they were about to leave...
