I am a little old white lady...Jewish...born and raised in the suburbs.....and NOTHING moves me like old time gospel (and Aretha Franklin....and The Rolling Stones)......
What a Joy to hear this whrn the spirit is dealing with your will to remain faithful. Remembering, not my will but obediant to the Master. GLORY TO GOD.!!!!
There's nothing like hearing it from an old saint who's walked more than one valley of the shadow of death and made it through with our Lord... such weight to their words, whether spoken or SUNG!!!
Im from texas (the suburban area) and my mom was born in the country. Im used to and prefer old school gospel. So much history , pain, fear, faith, and determination in those lyrics. In the south , i can almost hear my ancestors in these lyrics, black soul is so unique and un-imitatable . We are so beautiful and amazing , amen.
I hear you but... Mother Price was born and raised in Southside Chicago she doesn't know the south she just has what us saintfied saints say the Holy Ghost
@@queenpatterson210 The young woman was speaking of her experiences. Besides, quite a few African-Americans migrated from the south to Chicago many years ago.
I don't think you intended it to slight anyone, but grief is common to the human experience, and no one person or group among us mere mortals owns the franchise on suffering. And you're right: God's entire creation is delightfully spectacular.
I Got To Have Jesus I Have Lupus BUT Trust Me Jesus Has My Back Doctor's Said Countless Times I Wouldn't Be Here Don't You See Me Paralyzed Neck Down Twice Been In 2 Comas Screaming I Got To Have Jesus A Bit Of My Testimony
I remember the day when things weren't going right, you could lay your head on the mother's shoulder and cry. She wouldn't ask no questions, but start praying... Memories...
