I'm italian and I'm a Guzzi owner too, this video is fantastic !! The way you strangers pronunciate the name of the manufacturer is very funny to me ! I can't stop repiting it : moto gooosi ! :D I love it !!!
A real pleasure to hear from someone who sounds more the way I think than so many of the motorcycle reviewers I read. I'm not concerned with weight or lean angle, or how the bike compares. I'm not being chased. I have a V11 and switched to it after two Ducatis because I wanted to go a little slower. The Norwegian novelist Per Petterson described a character as being "in time with himself." That's how I want to feel on a bike. That's how I feel on my Guzzi. Thanks for reminding me of that.
thanks a lot mate from an italian Guzzi lover... for your your video, for your words, for everything and it doesn't matter if Guzzi engines are derived or not from tractors... it matters only that we stay loving them!!! ins't it? Ciao from Italia!
Somebody once paid me the compliment about my Le Mans "You ride that as though you were born on it". It felt like it as well, an organic bike, bloody brilliant.
I had an old T-3. I live in West Virginia, which means tight turns and plenty of them. The T-3 was like it was made for that type of riding. "It's all about the wind"
Jordan, you're correct about riding safely so that you still can when you're 75. My dad is 81 and still riding his 1973-1/2 Eldorado. And although I typically ride multi-cylinder sport touring bike, I have my own '74 Eldorado now too.
Lovely bike man.. beautiful paint scheme! Moto Guzzi has huge respect here in Europe! I've got a V7 as well and every time I ride I meet somebody who wants to chat about the bike and it's characteristics. Lots of Moto Guzzi converts running around London! Safe riding! Enjoy your bike... it's beautiful!
Really great video. Watching it for the third time in a few months :) I'm "only" driving a V7, but I definitely get your point. There's not much better than a Moto Guzzi motorcycle. Fell in love with that brand...
Very nice video Jordan, loved your description and appreciate the passion for Moto Guzzi, as I'm an italian living in the UK. Beautiful bike too, very well maintained, well done. See you somewhere on the road and..keep on riding!
Great POV on motorcycling and why Moto Guzzi evokes so much passion. Great CT roads too. Some of my local favorite roads to boot! Love the Monza paint scheme on your bike. Ride safe, ride long.
Enjoyed this video. Absolutely agree with everything you said, especially about respecting them. You are an inspiration to younger riders on how to do it the right way.
Saw your video. Inspiration. Haven't owned a bike since the mid 1980's...first bike was 1970. Just bought a 2001 Moto Guzzi California Jackal. Killer deal. Was thinking of this video as I bought it. It needs some work - hope I can find the parts I need - but will watch your video again for continued inspiration. Many thanks. Cool stuff.
I also love Guzzi`s and have had three of them. A 1969 Ambassador 750, a V65sp, and a V50lll. Maybe twenty years ago I passed on a mint 1000S out in Denver, and have kicked myself ever since. To me, your bike is the most beautiful of all Guzzi`s, followed by a red and white 1000SP. Ironically it had been almost a year since I have ridden, and I took my beautiful Dyna out for about an hour ride this morning. It started right up, and the ride was a joy for me at 74 years old.
Great video thank you!! New MG owner just last week, long time Ducati owner love the MG there's nothing like it and I get a kick out of the tractor reference. Some mc trivia for you, Ducati started out as a radio manufacturer so I think the early references just add to owner appreciation!! Love your bike ride safe.
Great video. I have owned several Moto Guzzi's and currently own a Mk V LeMans. Awesome bikes, and I can relate to everything you say. Hope they continue producing bikes for many years to come,
Beautiful bike you have there! Great job on the video! I'm also a Guzzi fan, and currently restoring a 1979 Lemans CX100. Hope to have her finished for next Summer, and post a video at that time. Cheers, AL
Beautiful Moto Guzzi! I love my '02 Cal Stone. Guzzi power band and exhaust note is nostalgic and addictive, it somehow feels luxurious, like a classic Mahogany Chis Craft or WW2 fighter plane. It kinda reminds me of a pumped small block Ford, not over the top power but enough to get your attention and be fun.
Jeff, thanks for the video. I really liked the production, and it's much better than others out there. I'm exploring the purchase of a MG V7 Classic, and although I cannot comment on the accuracy of the video as others have, it was fun to watch. It made me want to buy a Guzzi even more. Thanks. --Brent
Hey , by the way... Hope you are taking no notice of all of the negativity added here Jordan. To ALL of yuze guys..he emphatically states that he is from Irish descent. I'm a Brit and my two daughters were born here in the U.S. making them American's, however, if asked i'm sure that they will not hesitate to state that they are from English and Japanese descent. Just be proud of what you ride regardless and less of the nit-picking.!!
Dear Jordan, in a lot of wayś , you are thinking the way I do. I am also a Moto Guzzi driver, and also I am not fixing my bike with wire any more, because I am older now and also wiser. (I hope) You have got a really nice Guzzi! Congratulations. Drive carefull, have a nice time and thanks for this nice little film. Best reguards from Germany Hartmut
this engine was studied for the fiat 500 sport in 70's, but never fiat used this engine because thought abarth engine was better for this car, you can check in "cilindri italiani" web site, i love this bike
Happy Birthday today to my husband, Jordan. Tracey Kroll directed him to say he's Irish (which he's not) when he made this video for his job interview, great footage, the stream of consciousness dialog has a few errors but the scenery is great and this motorcycle is really cool. The intention of this video was just to secure a job for Tracey and it was never disclosed that it was going to be on youtube -and now it has close to 100,000 views!
I am not sure where he ended up but his portfolio is very strong with photography, I think he wanted to also have an array of videography to supplement that.
I enjoy watching this video just for what it is. I have wached it a few times and it is a fun not too serious video. With nice scenery and a beautiful v twin Italian rumble. : )
Awesome. My outlook on motorcycles too. Slow down, enjoy the world, enjoy life. Speed up when it's safe. Just heading to Czech from Scotland to pick up a V11 Cafe Sport. Ride it around the Alps and having it shipped home.
Even with a few snafus,GREAT video.Of course how bad can it be with THAT BIKE in it.I remember the forst time I saw a 1000S.I was,and still am,awe struck.I have a T3 cafe and '07 Griso and nothing else can match the Guzzi.Period! Regards,Steve
Great video.Nice to see a well done video on Guzzi. Just a few points Moto Guzzi Started in 1923 and the motor was design to be a motorcycle motor in the V7. Yes they did have a three wheel tractor powered by a V twin but that was a different motor.
great video. my first bike was a Harley 2001 Wideglide and after 12000 Ks travelled I thought there's no other bike than a Harley I could own from now on. Well circumstances require change and the HD sold. 11 years later I just bought a MG V35 Imola. OMG I'm in love again and now want a V50 Monza as well and then hopefully a 850.
Cannot even compare.. HD are OK.. But just OK. All they are is a brand. A name.. MG shit all over HD. Yesterday now tomorrow forever.. Long live the moto guzzi
Nice video Jordan..( my grandson's name by the way..) I too harken back to the mid-sixties and was brought up on the big British three..no need to mention those, right.!?? I must admit though that I do miss my 500 Beeza and most of all my Triton. We can all still of course ride those bikes, that is if we don't mind the wrenching in our old age. It is great however to know that Moto Guzzi are making a comeback so it is a V7 that will be next in my garage.. Happy and safe riding to you !!
Checking dyno charts of each successive Ducati engine from the Pantah engines of the 70's/80's to the current Testastretta design, horsepower and TORQUE have increased throughout the rpm range.
Moto Guzzi started in 1921. Many of their motorcycles were single cylinder. The current V configuration came late 50's/early 60's. He needs to check his facts.
@@oluffriesthomsen7680 well ok, he hasn't been probably so accurate in this short but passionate video. However. he was not so far from reality, after all. Back in the 20's and in 30's Moto Guzzi was extremely famous also for moto-trucks: Ercole, Ercolino, Trialce, Guzzi Edile. Ercole has been in production until the '70 with many restyling. Regards.
Hey Jordan, would you consider doing more Guzzi Videos? If so please let me know and I will subscribe! Great review relaxed, and I've just really fallen in love with Moto Guzzi! They are simply awesome and I'm glad they are still around, I'm getting a Grizzo 1200 and a California. Just so much character that you just don't get on most other bikes. Feels like a muscle car between your legs!
