I got the s version, made 4000 miles with it, and I couldn’t be happier 👍 This bike feels rock solid, confortable, fast and secure, full of character, and looks absolutely great!
That putty-coloured Aviazione Navale edition is gorgeous in real life. Ignore Yammie Noob, he's recently come up from the squid ranks and his videos are more entertaining than purely informative.
Ok, new rules. No religion, politics, or Yammie in discussions. lol. I know he’s popular, but divisive. I used to watch him, just got bored with him. I’m sure he misses me greatly. 😅 I do watch Spite some. He’s riding a Guzzi a bit too. Stay safe
I also stopped watching Yammie and occasionally watch Spite. Happy Spite tried some Guzzis and feel for one. Funny Yammie bashes a bike for his frustration. Every bike has different menus, so bashing it is just dumb as there are 2 ways to get to the menu for the windshield.
I love mine. The trip round Scotland was a blast. The warranty issue is being fixed this week - so not too bad after all. I don't take Yammie Noob seriously. The windscreen is a doddle to operate. I wasn't remotely confused. Nothing to do with Piaggio electronics and everything to do with the nut behind the handlebars.
@@ThatGermanFella A problem with the indicator switch. They are replacing it under the warranty. Also, there is a recall for the clutch master cylinder seals.
For 50 years, I have modified any of the many bikes I have had to fit me personaly. That is not a weird thing. I would also do that to the V100 Mandello when or if I got one.
I love my Mandello S. Only had it a month but it's an awesome bike. In the big city, it seems cops follow me around, waiting on me to open the throttle and break the speed limit. I set it on cruise and they give up after a bit. I love how it slices through the air with cross winds blowing me around, not the bike. Semi buffeting is non-existent. I've added a few minor things with more to come later.
Well put - My journey with my V100 has been similar - comparison to my R1200RS initially ! With time in the saddle(5,000 miles) the positive charm is shining through ! Still need to sort the excessive harsh rear suspension though !! Thanks for your calm Vlogs !
@@ronaldthomas9396 From an ergonomics point of view there might not be enough real estate hence Piaggio utilizes the up, down, right buttons, at least that would make sense to me.
Lovely bike …very tight and solid feeling ,head turning beauty …however i only kept mine for 6 months ..the gearbox was horrible . the massive clunk into first from neutral and then the difficulty getting it back into neutral as well .the “Guzzi” charm wore very thin very quickly ..
Yeah about that, on my V85, it took 2500 miles for the gear box to properly brake in, after that it was magic. One of the viewers who traveled a lot on the V100 made the same comment, said after about 2500 - 3000 miles is when the tranny seemed to get better and better. It seems to be a "Guzzi thing" aka slow burn ... lol. Hopefully you are happy with your new bike, all that matters in the end.
I picked mine up yesterday.......had to be a red one for me. Why red? It was the colour of my Le Mans 1, LM3 and LM5. Got her home but it's been around -6C the last few days and living in the middle of the countryside there's black ice everywhere. From Tuesday onwards looking good. So have I have only had a test ride so far. Both solo and with my wife on the back too. She said it is really comfortable for her and she feels safe with the well-positioned grab rails. Good to see Guzzi coming out with these new models.
Congratulations 🎉 on the new bike! Here is to many smiles per miles. Heated seat and grips go a long way in the cold, worth adding if they did not come with the base.
Have to agree I test rode the V-100 and loved it . I just loved the kawasaki dealer network more so got a 1000SX. Not totally perfect either but more to my liking than the Guzzi on a few counts. But the Guzzi windscreen is just common sense when you look at the menu for controls.
I was not happy with the Angel GT tires at all. I swapped them out with a set of Dunlop Roadsmart III within the first 500 miles. Made a huge difference for me. I, too, made a few changes, SW Motech lower pegs, Guzzzi high heated seat, and a couple of larger windscreens for different conditions. It has become my go to ride.
I always ignore complaints in reviews about controls, mirrors, displays, etc. - you’ll get used to a lot if you like the bike itself. I tested a V100 and couldn’t connect emotionally, as I did with the RS660 or Bonneville. Jeder nach seiner Fassong! The grey one is the best looking IMO.
I could never get comfortable on my RS660 and wanted to try the Tuono Factory, but never got around to it. My Triumph Scram with that big 1200 Mill is so intoxicating, just amazing.
" My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me Giorgio" Your voice reminded me of the song with the music in the background 😂😂 I'm a fan of the Mandello, too... Subscibed ✌️
Not at all, I am not sure if I posted it in one of my earlier V100 videos or in the community tab but the LED lights on the V100 are very good and have cornering ability, which I did not even realized til I was riding late and was like hmmm, that is cool ... lol
So did the new tires fix the twitchy feel at the back? Typically that is a suspension issue. Other review criticized that the Ohlins semi active felt softer than base suspension and wasn’t worth in their opinion.
Since my track day got canceled for weather, I am still on the original OEM tires. I played more with the suspension and seem to have found a setting that works for me with the rear shock adjusted towards the softer side. The front has never been a problem so far.
I test rode one a few months ago, and all I think ever since is how to get the money to buy one! The only thing that actually sucks, like almost every other MotoGuzzi is... the side stand!!! I guess you will get used to it over time, but, how hard can it be to design a proper side stand?
@@ThatGermanFella It ''s very hard to reach it with your foot, when you are sitting on the bike. Most of it, is hidden just under the cylinder! Similar case with the V7s and Brevas and Griso 1100. All of which are, otherwise, great bikes that I enjoyed riding.
My V100S isn't an issue to use the side stand. I flip it down sitting in the seat, get off and then pop it on the center stand and then flip the side stanbd up.
@@ThatGermanFella I am sure everyone will eventually get used to them, and its not a major point. But making difficult something that should/could have been easy and simple, is somewhat silly!
hello there, would you say using your Biondi satin matte low windshield is better than stock? would you say you got more "clean" wind on your body? thank you
Nice bike. But to have to make so many changes after paying so much for the bike,....to me not worth it. Get a 2024 yamaha tracer 9 gt+ and call it a day. By far the most complete bike on the market. My opinion of course.
I would agree, having the XSR 900 in my stable at the moment and knowing what a great bike it is. However, like I mentioned in my intro video for the channel of the XSR 900, these bikes are almost too perfect with no drama or emotions / character at all. That is where the Guzzi charm & character comes into play for me personal. As a daily, I take the Yamaha any day but for enjoying the ride to its fullest I have come to love my Guzzi and Scrambler with their own "attitudes & quirks". Btw, I did bench the GSX S1000 GT aginst the V100 and did not buy it for the very same reason. If I were to buy a jap touring bike, that would be my choice, albeit it is impressive how much tech yamaha put into the new 9 GT.
I am a Suzuki guy myself and have the M109R which is a beast for what it is. However test rode the Gsx and still preferred the Yamaha. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Great video though. @@ThatGermanFella
WHAT? Just toggle to the windshield screen and raise it. What I hate is people who hate their own ignorance using a product and think it is the product, not them. I own the V100S, no issues at all, best initial quality bike I've ever owned. Japanese 1979 CB750F , German 1992 R100RT and now Italian V100s.
I no longer watch the noob, because he is not the source of knowledge and experience that he claims to be. He is incredibly annoying to listen to. Thank you for your good work.
Considering this same Yammie Noob drove an entire RnineT review in rain mode... complaining about the power and "anemic qualities" the entire time... so...
I have to admit, I quit watching Yaminoob. His buddy Spite that has the Spite's Corner YT channel is great, and also the gal they know, who's channel is Whitney Does are great.
This bike does not twitch out of corners. Perhaps you should have bought the s model. I test rode the s model, and I can confirm the upgraded suspension is worth the extra money. Opinion from a man who knows.
No doubt that the S has the far better suspension, if it were not for the aviation theme, I would have bought the S. Of course after the fact I realized I could have gotten the S and switched the panels … oh well …
@@ThatGermanFella Yes, that's a very similar bike to the ninja 1000SX, but neither of those bikes have: Single sided swing arm Shaft drive Hydraulic clutch Characterful engine I would say the suzuki 1000GT and ninja 1000SX are more similar to my other bike, Ninja H2SX... and I can confirm neither of them are similar to the Moto Guzzi in any way. I just don't think there's anything on the market that compares at all.
@@Numberfucking1 The new GS1300 in base trim is somewhat close isch ... lol but yes, character wise, the V100 has a LOT going for it and a safe place in my Garage ... =)
@@ThatGermanFella Yes, that ticks a lot of boxes, and surprisingly it appears to be lighter than the V100s model. The Ducati multistrada V2 is very similar, except no shaft drive. I test rode the latest model last year and I still prefer the V100s.
@@Numberfucking1 I looked at the Ducati but for the price it felt, do I dare to say cheap, and cramped, hence I went with the M1000R instead ... = ) , of course that bike is on a whole another level ...
