Getting set up for the MLB, would let one kit work for any MLB chassis as I understand it. The axle cups, bellhousing location, front suspension design, firewall, and windshield are all to be the same location. A B8 kit should work for a Bentayga, Urus, Cayenne, RS7, A8, etc. That seems like it would be the ideal solution for a wide audience!
Exactly! But I’ve already measure a C7 A6 and the engine bay is too short (B6/B7 has more room). A custom core support would need to fabricated for any B8 or C7 cars. Don’t know on A8.
@@projectLSaudiA4 I suspected as much but hadn’t had a chance to measure. Thank you for confirming my suspicions. Sounds like any of the v10 cars should be fair game, but anything new school is likely to require the core support, sacrificing any chance of an OE appearance. Defeats some of the benefits IMO. @@ericvincent3219 I have an adapter plate design that would fit in the newer cars but it requires clearancing the LS engine block. Basically the “ear” of the block where the starter normally mounts to has to be cut and this allows a thinner adapter plate thus shortening the whole assembly and allowing the engine to sit closer to firewall. I just don’t think people will want to buy an adapter plate that will require cutting the block and making it useless for any other applications... this is the same design I used in my car initially. I’ve since redesigned to make adapter plate thicker to avoid this. Maybe I’ll offer two versions, idk yet.

@@projectLSaudiA4 sign me up, I currently own, well my wife owns a 08 A4, stick shift, #3 piston is roached, can’t muster up to scrap it and don’t want to put another moter in it( but )my buddy has a ls moter for me for another vehicle I own, was thinking of buying it from him to put in my 1973 caprice (BUT) after watching your vids I’d love to stuff it in the Audi, by the grace of Jesus I came across your vid last year been keeping up with you👍🏼, so yea when your complete with conversion kit I won’t one!. Keep the vids coming and thanks for not giving up on your dream! Most people would fade off of it.
@@joecrockett1385 I appreciate it man. It’s been a heck of a lot of work but will be so awesome. I’m to the point where I have virtually everything designed and gone through, but I’m just waiting on the machine shop to deliver parts-been a struggle to find reasonable pricing so that this whole package doesn’t end up costing $4,000 (flywheel, transmission adapter plate, starter mount, power steering mount, AC compressor mount, alternator mount, motor mounts, and transmission mount). I’m even considering buying some CNC’s to bring cost down but I hate to say the first few kits might cost that much because of how high aluminum is and I have to outsource all the components that have to have very tight tolerances. I’ll will certainly be posting videos as components arrive and continuing to work on getting the cost down as low as possible. I have the new starter mount most recently which I’ll be making a video this weekend showing it 👍
Hey man I have a 09 2.0 piston rings went. It's a Quattro awd. I love the car hate audi engines. Short story would you sell me a pair I'm gonna go for it. I'm a ls fanatic and can get anything gm easily .
I’m just not positive the motor mounts would fit a B8 man-they should but might require modifications. Not only that but pretty sure the core support would need to be modified and I’m not certain about the subframe either. I am designing everything for the B7 for a number of reasons, but I think the B8 would be awesome too so I plan to work on that next... but I gotta finish the B7 first! This stuff isn’t cheap and also isn’t easy so I am trying my best to bring this to market as soon as possible. I will post updates here when they happen. Thanks
Definitely I have an email I can be reached at just let me know ASAP I'm definitely interested it will be cheaper in the long run as far as performance upgrades reliability and preventive maintenance vs the original 4.2
I have some design features that need verified via some additional prototype components (which I’m still waiting to receive) so right now I don’t have an exact ETA but I hope sometime this year to begin production of the entire kit. I’ll post a video when the website is launched.
