Thank you for watching. Trying to get my hands on some 2018's to check out. C&E keeps selling them faster than I can get there.

It looks great! I really like that paint job. I'm so glad you didn't put those strips back on the saddlebags when the bike was painted. I do wish you would have talked about the gas mileage. My roadmaster has 40k on it and I get 38mpg in town. That's not bad at all since I live in northern Virginia. Keep on riding and be safe out there.

yes you are right i should have talked about the gas mileage. When I went back through it there were a few things i wish i would have talked about, but i definitely learned a few things i will do different on my next bike review. I am getting the same kind of mileage as you are. Great to hear from another Indian rider that loves to get out and ride. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for Subscribing. It seems like a little talked about subject but we know from experience that passenger comfort is very important for those of us that regularly ride two up. We will try to do more of that when we review touring class bikes.

Thanks for the review. As much as you two ride it's gotta be a good feeling to know that 40,000 miles is nothing on your Indian. I like the fact that you can ride off the show room floor on your Indian and be very happy with the power and the way the bike performs. I've heard from other Indian owners and they said they would have to drop another 4 to 5 thousand dollars on a new Harley to be compatible with the Indian Roadmaster. I'm looking at the Indian Chieftain Limited when the time comes. Great review.

Thank you Rack and Pull Industries, I do have to admit that it is nice to be confident in the durability of this bike as we head out on our trips. You are right on about the stock performance of this 111 ci motor there is really no need for performance upgrades so that is money saved

I own an HD, an older one, this statement is no so. Especially with the new HD M8. I am here to learn reality since I plan to buy a Roadmaster soon. Not hear say.

Mrs. Stan, How well can you hear the stereo when riding as the passenger? Please and thanks.
@michaelschmitzerle2587
@michaelschmitzerle2587 2 года назад
Very well. There are two large speakers on both sides of the passenger. Te sound is clear and it has good bass at 70 plus mph . I have almost 55 thousand seasonal miles on my 2017 Roadmaster and am very pleased with it still.

Hello Stan... A few questions please. I'm considering a new Roadmaster. I'm concerned over some of the comments I've seen posted on RU-vid. Do you still have your 2015 Roadmaster?? Have you had any electrical issues with it ?? Has it ever failed to start and get you where you wanted to go?? Did you have any Warranty claims with it during the warranty period? Have you seen the DMac of Queens RU-vid videos and the issues he had with his two Roadmasters. I'd like to get some feedback from you. Thanks a bunch, JP

Hi Jim thanks for the questions. I do still have my 15 RM and I still love it. I have a bit over 65,000 on it now and it is still under warranty since it came with a 5 year unlimited warranty when I bought it. It has never failed to start and it has never broke down, it has been very reliable. I just did a trip from California to North Carolina and back and was confident in it's reliability the whole way. The only warranty work that I have had done was I had to replace the computer because it would not communicate with my fob all of the time and would set off the alarm. This happened after I upgraded the security system to add an alarm witch I think is now standard, it seemed to me that that upgrade is likely what caused that problem and it was an easy fix. I have not seen DMac of Queens yet but I will check it out. I am thinking of getting a new bike before I get to many miles on this one and when I do it will be another Road Master. In my opinion it is still the best touring bike made today

How much did the paint job cost?
@Hillon2Wheels
@Hillon2Wheels 5 лет назад
It totally depends on what you want to have done, you would need to call Indian Motorcycles of Hollister to see what they can do for you 831-630-5200. The paint is about 4 years old now and still looks new minus a few rock chips here and there

Nice review. Most of the others I've watched have been a demo ride, which really can't tell you that much. It is nice to have a perspective after 40,000 miles. Don't have one yet, but it is definitely on my wish list. Have you had any problems with the bike? Mechanical or otherwise?
@Hillon2Wheels
@Hillon2Wheels 6 лет назад
Thank you, Just oil and tires have not had any problems. After I watched the video i knew i should have mentioned that this bike has been trouble free. Hope to see you out on the road on your new Indian when the time is right for you.

the heat produced by an air cooled V-twin engine is predictable and the seat discomfort, wear and tear found in my 2015 Roadmaster is normal! What I find premature abnormal in my bike are some parts quality used to produce such luxo-bike! I cannot find or justify a reason to have oil and air leak from its suspension since I never abuse my road partner. Both front and rear end to be repaired by 30,000 miles, solo riding on well paved roads is not acceptable!

My Springfield has 50k miles. Though it's a strong motor and I've been to many states, I have had to change out the ecm 2 times, 3 v regs, a wheel speed sensor and now it needs a new stator. Gonna give it a chance but I'm close to selling her

@Hillon2Wheels
@Hillon2Wheels 6 лет назад
+TRUMPANZEE HUNTER Polaris? They have been grabbing market share steadily since taking over Indian for good reason engineering is their focus and is why I and a lot of others in the industry own them. No business is fail prof, even Harley Davidson had to sell to AMF at one point. But fortunately for all of us both look pretty stable at the moment and two American company's competing for our business just means better products will be available when you are ready for a new ride. Thank you for watching
