Yes, I must agree with you that the best type of camping is waking up after a good nights sleep in a Premier Inn, where you don't have to trapse around fields to get to the shower block. Followed by ready cooked breakfast with no washing up, fantastic!

We used to live in Topsham. The coffee shop used to be called the Steam Packet and was our local pub. We lived a two minute walk from there and enjoyed our 13 months we lived there. Happy days.

Another Fun Video :) as you know im from exeter and Topsham is nice, and often when im at work im in 7.5T John Lewis lorry 🤣😂 and it gets quite tricky 😳 there. But agreed iv spent a few hrs actually walking round there and the Antiques shop is good. You remind us of how we were 20 years ago, needless to say, we use hotels nowadays….. Personally, I miss camping but for health reasons I can’t do it anymore. Wifey, not so much! She insists on hotels all the way!

We're in the midst of buying gear to try motocamping too! Can't wait for it to warm up a bit to give it a go. I ordered some MRE's (military rations) from eBay to see what they tasted like and tbh, they weren't too bad. Ideal if in the middle of nowhere and cheaper than the camping shops.

Glad you enjoyed my home town of topsham The coffee shop was one of the famous pubs in topsham for the drinking challenge of drinking a pint in every pub from one’s the size of a front room to the big pubs but sadly most have gone now to coffee shops /restaurants or back to private homes Also you should of gone to go outdoors for your bits as there having refit and prices are really low to empty store

Agh no. I did not want that smaller front wheel or the DCT which the new model will have. Chopped my GS in and heard nothing detrimental about the Honda, so was a no brainer. Tri colour and I love it so much. Just need to get out more in between work. Which is why your channel inspires me more to get out at every opportunity. Time is precious.

You did the right thing parking the bikes in a garage for days when in Rome: outside they would have lasted not longer than one night. Nice places you live over there. If Ewa wants to camp, you might go to the Elefantentreffen on next February. That's a place where you can really test if your stuff is good for camping or not 😁 Cheers

Winter camping tip - Instead of bothering with a brew try sucking a tea bag.....less to carry and you won't need to leave the tent on a cold winters night.......Safe riding & Best Wishes for 2024!

I bought one of those tiny folding camping chairs years ago (it’s branded Helinox and I think they were first: it was also 80 quid!). Loved it. Then I got a cheap Chinese knock off that was identical for £30 for my wife, but she seldom uses it. I take it every year when we go to Spain because it’s so much more comfortable on the beach than sitting on a towel (I hate sunbathing, but don’t mind sitting reading for a couple of hours). I use furniture type feet and a kitchen tea towel (all of which fit in the pack with the chair) to stop the legs going into the sand, and then I’m a happy bunny! PS Topsham looks like a cracking little place.

You guys let me know if you're going camping in January and I'll meet you there. 🤣 An overnighter in Cornwall.... ideal! I have a Vango chair just like the first one you tried, it was a LOT cheaper than a Helinox but it's done me proud for three years. Those camping dinners are seriously expensive. Ex Army rations are a bit cheaper but I have found a few things I can easily cook in one pot at my local supermarkets. Fine dining it ain't, but it's quick, tasty and is great for on the road dinner. Great video, you two make me laugh as well as showing me loads of new coffee shops to try. Thanks. EDIT: Be sure to get a folding wind shield for that stove, you use a lot less gas and things heat much quicker.

Great news you going camping again I’d leave it a bit later than January thou.the small seat are superb, you can get the tables too,trangia for cooking the best system there is.

Happy New Year guys, the first and most important thing to consider for motorcycle camping is weight,the less it all weighs the less top heavy the bike will be and less difference in the adjustment of your suspension between loaded and unloaded. Second, weight related, is the price of your geat. The lighter/compactor it is, the higher the price. Tents, allways check the waterproof rating, the higher the rating, the better and more expensive. Guide to tent size (without a tarp) 1 size larger ie. for one pers' a 2man tent, two peeps a 3man tent, because you'll need room foryour kit if it rains. Tarps are handy tho' whatever size you have. Sleeping bags, you need minimum '4 season' for temperatures 10°C down to -15 °C with bag liners and sleeping in your long underwear. Air Mattresses, insulated 12cm min lightweight. Weight and price are the governing factores tho' when motorcycle camping. I keep all my campiig gear in a rollbag as it's the first thing you need at a campsite, and you don't need to root around in diferent 'boxes/bags' to set up. Happy huntting🤔ehr, camping. Take 'Emergency Blankets as a backup for extra insulation.
