This repair was an extremely hard repair. Motorcycle tank repaired with PDR in my eyes is the hardest PDR. It is called MPDR. There were two nasty dents that we got out!

Brilliant job and a pleasure to watch. I like the top half of your stand but concrete just ain't heavy enough for you base. Would suggest you make a base out of repurposed gym weights. Also makes the stand easy to move because thay are round allowing you to tilt and role. Great work.

I built a 2000kg pulling tower that exerts scary pressures on dents - overpulling becomes the issue not underpulling - no dent is too deep any more. I pulled a boron-steel sub-structure attached to a crashed in quarter-panel today - because it is a double skin structure, there is zero rear access (none) so traditional "pushing" PDR won't work on these - you have to either pull or cut off the entire quarter-panel - a new quarter is >€1600 plus tax/delivery/currency stuff before you touch it. Tower just bosses regular panel-steel around exactly as you would like. Boron steel inner panel welded to the mild-steel outer is a different story. Boron steel is insanely "springy" & rigid. Without the pulling tower, it's an impossible repair as the inner boron steel panel is strong way beyond any pressures hand-pulling can exert. It is a new quarter panel every time if you go the traditional route - which generally runs to >€3000 complete/painted. If you over-pull even a tiny bit of the boron inner, you can hammer away & start to realise fast just how insanely strong the boron alloy metal is - it ignores the hammer completely - yet the tower/glue can pull it (right at the max tho - you're exerting the full 2 ton/6 cm2 to get any movement and your "getting best tab adhesion possible" game has to be on point, any errors and it's no go on the pull - the hammer can't exert 2000kg force - things I learnt - it just bounces off with zero effect) I'll do a video eventually - PDR techs will love this puller as it just works & is a cheap/easy build. It would be ideal for them bike tanks - it pulls silly hard. It cost about €20 to build & did a €3k repair today for the cost of a few hours work, some glue sticks & solvents - it does them sort of repairs daily - best €20 I ever spent in terms of "ROI" .

This sounds great. Can you make a video about it?

@@vidicz I'm promised a smart phone for Christmas - I don't own one. Mainly by choice up to now. If Santa delivers, I will make videos. It's going in the drawer for everything else... Just video. I do a lot of repairs next to nobody does, I'm getting on, so it's time to share or the stuff I have learnt will die with me.

You don't seem to use any heat to stop the paint cracking?
@vidicz

I use heat on sharp dents, where I see the need for it.

greetings friend...my name is Jose...I'm from Medellin Colombia...I also work for pdr...I have two questions...is the paint on the tank the original from the factory? ...and if perforations were made under the tank where the barilla entered?...thanks friend.

Hi Jose. Yes the paint is original and no damage was done under the tank. Greetings to Columbia and thanks for watching.
