Motor guide ProSeries trolling motor directional arrow quick fix. (NON-DIGITAL) Obviously, new parts would be best. But if you don't have parts access this is a fairly quick fix.
Never wanted a MotorGuide never had any experience with one. Bought a boat yesterday that has a 10 month old MotorGuide trolling motor on the bow. And the guy told me sometime the arrows left and doesn't line up with where you're going and it nearly caused a giant problem on my maiden voyage today. Hopefully this will fix my problem though it's a different model than the one I have. Thank you for the information
Thank you ..thank you .. thank you .!! My motors been giving me fits. I thought that indicator was one piece.. been blaming the rack case screws for coming loose and letting the gears jump teeth. put oversize screws and extra wire ties on it and it did it again today.. So simple .. and right in front of my eyes !!!
Now to address the break -away mount that breaks away constantly. Going to try and add some star washers under the knobs.. can never get them tight enough.
@@fishingismydrug1... Well yes and no..lol I put the star washers under the knobs and it seemed to help. I think part of my problem is the shaft on the motor is too long for my boat and I'm running it too deep in the water. I think this gives it a lot of leverage when I change directions or bump something. Going to play with height a little this year and see if that helps. Didn't fish much last fall.. hopefully that will change this spring. Boat's in getting new seals in the lower unit now.
