Motorola Edge 2022 hands-on! What you get for under $500

Nice. Motorola smartphones are actually quite good. And this is the first one to have a Dimensity 1050 chipset for 5G buyers.

Moto Edge 2022: MediaTek Dimensity 1050, Android 12, 256gb internal storage, 8gb Ram, 5000mah battery, 30W fast recharging, 15W wireless recharging, 5W reverse recharging, 3 OS updates, 4 years of security patches, 6.6" FHD+ OLED Display, Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos sound, NFC, etc. However, it won't have a micro SD card slot for expandable memory and no headphone jack. I think it is an easy win for Moto. They offer more than the competition, unlike all the previous phones for this price range, including theirs, here in America. This is a big leap for Moto as they're known to put less hardware tech and keep the price the same. So I'm very excited to see Moto make this big leap. Making a slightly high-end phone for a premium budget price.

I got the first Edge 5G from 2020. Wasn't feeling last year's. 2022 version is much improved. They nailed the aesthetics. I wonder how the camera performs. This one's a 64 mp that performs flawlessly except in very low light.

The features of this Moto Edge 2022 are looking promising, especially the Mediatek dimensity 1050 processor.

It's a Beautiful phone but they removed my SD slot & Head Phone jack so I have to buy the Motorola G 100....from 2021....

I just ordered this on sale for $349. For that price, this is a great phone. You get a lot of value for the price. I’m coming from a pixel 6a which I wasn’t happy with because of the battery and the software bugs. I’ve always been a huge Motorola fan. Love the Moto actions and their peek display. Love being able to preview my notifications on the lock screen

Good review content, thanks! You need a new microphone setup. The audio quality of your voice over takes the production value of this video down a few notches though. Room mics never work well.

Make sure you get the Motorola edge 2022 plus version the one with the Snapdragon processor. It scores 1000000 in antutu benchmark it's 189 for a renewed one on Amazon or 300 for new. There way cheaper on eBay if you can live with a very light screen burn. Best performance/value in the world 🌎

Motorola keeps Canadian Gov't HST funds 13%. 2hours later, I cancelled the order. But Motorola shipped it out anyways. Motorola/Rick said that they will provide Full Refund (less shipping charges). During RMA/Eric, Full Refund does not include the paid Gov't HST 13%. Does Motorola pocket the Canadian Gov't HST 13% funds. Illegal. Wrong?

Love Moto phones....I currently have a 2019 moto E5 play which works great but is a little slow but I only just use it as a phone and nothing else....I'm definitely getting the 2022 Edge probably going to see what I can get it for spring of 2023.

This video just made me more irritated. I've been spoiled with the Droid Turbo for 6 yrs now. Almost everything I've been looking at for replacement is going to be a downgrade. The only phones that seem worth picking are all well over 6". Aside from sticking out of back pockets, the main issue being using it with one hand, being such tall phones. I'm an android person. The only reason I'm getting a new phone is because of apps and such that I use, along with given apps, are no longer supporting and Motorola is not going to make anymore system updates for it. I'll still keep it as a side backup phone.

Im stuck. I just bought a Google Pixel 6 Pro for $650 but havent unboxed it yet and have a week to return it. Im nervous with all the bad stuff, bugs, problems Ive read. Im using a Moto Edge 2021 right now. The Moto Edge 2022 looks awesome. Question with the Moto Edge 2022 when tiltling the phone at different angles does the screen temperature change to more bluish or yellowish or does it look the same as looking at it straight on? On the 2022 Edge Pro I saw, it was horrible changing angles the phone changed to blue tints. You could only look at it straight on
