Instructional video for North Memorial Health Community Paramedics on how to utilize the Motorola Bluetooth Remote Speaker Microphone with the APX6000 Portable Radio
this program was very nicely done, you basically described how to work the radio, how to turn on and off the radio, and a few small features that goes with it as well as the Bluetooth microphone. You don't have a lot of superfluous information, a waste of time and a waste of space. Nicely done I'm impressed.
How far away can you walk away from your radio and still have the bluetooth mic work? Chat CPT says 33 feet. I'm wondering how accurate this is. If I leave my radio in the car in the driveway, will the bluetooth mic still work inside the house?
Is there a plug and play option for shared radios? We do not have a issued radio and we are not given access to the special functions, it has to be enabled by the comm shop
If another radio has a Bluetooth adaptor can this microphone be paired with it? My company is running Motorola XPR 3300e radios and I want to get a wireless speaker mic for mine.
The mic uses a proprietary mission critical Bluetooth that will only work with Motorola radios that support such. The unication line of pagers uses a consumer Bluetooth protocol like a cellphone
Bluetooth will pick it up and I have a ht1000 with a Bluetooth adapter on it and it picks it up but there's a pin you need to put in but I can't find out mine
Do you know how to have the bluetooth remote speaker microphone permanently paired with the handheld? So it can automatically connect every time I turn on microphone instead of having to pair it up each time.
This can be done in the radio programming under the bluetooth settings. I cannot recall off the top of my head what settings they are exactly, however this is how I have my APX7000 setup. Many programmers do not alter these settings to automatically reconnect unless instructed because few people (at least in my area) use the bluetooth speakers.
Okay everyone! I just got some education on the Motorola RLN6554 and the RLN6554A. The RLN654A is only for the APX series and will not work with non-APX units. The RLN654 will work with XPR7000 series. Authorized Motorola dealer sold me the RLN6554A unit and after talking to Motorola Solutions, the lady said I will need to return the unit and purchase the correct one. In a nutshell, why the fuck does Motorola have to make shit so convoluted and confusing, urghhh!
