There are thousands of us who still treasure our Generation Three (2005 - 2012) Avalons. Unless you own one, you don't realize just how great they are. No matter what other cars I've added to the stable over the years, I've kept and will keep, this one!

Thanks again for taking the time to split these up and post them for those of us who aren’t around to watch the live stream!

Agreed, I wish motorweek, would keep the live streams on its channel after they air!

This is my favorite generation of Avalon. Especially the 2010-2011 facelifted ones. I remember seeing full page print ads in MotorTrend and Car&Driver magazines I used to read in high school. “Live the spacious life! Travel Avalon Class”

My uncle bought one new in 2006 and still in daily use with over 450K miles.

2006 XL - Third generation to beat the crap out of it but only 152k miles. Still going strong despite the external cosmetics.

I just love this car. We purchased an '05 Limited in that same dark red since new. It has just 167k miles and it has NEVER failed us. It looks ragged out right now, cosmetically, because mom doesnt really look after it as exceptionally well as dad used to when he owned it the first 12 years of its lifespan, but hear me out when I say that to this very day, the car still runs and drives like a top and it requires very few repairs and maintenance to keep it that way.

The good news is that you will be the next owner. Unless you want to sell it to me.

Lmao I like how he compares its styling to a Buick as if that's supposed to be a compliment for the Toyota

I just sold one of these vehicles, & for the month that I had it, I enjoyed driving it. Dam near felt like a Cadillac.

The titanium one in the review was the same as mine. Best car I ever owned! Had it for 15 years and zero issues. Until that is, the AC evaporator went. No one would fix it as the whole dash would have to come out. I replaced it with a RAV4 but I still miss my old Avalon.

I'm so disappointed they didn't do a bench in this gen. I have the 2nd with buckets and I wish it had the bench! It's great if you have dogs and the buckets have no bolstering anyway!

I kind of wanted to one day own an Avalon. Toyota reliability, but one step above a basic Camry! Lol Too bad Toyota decided to kill off the Avalon when all it needed was new technology. Would’ve been nice to see it as a plug-in hybrid with AWD for the icy winters.

Just as they killed off the Cressida. I totally get your point.

These looked like an overgrown Corolla with a cushy Lexus interior

So angry they cancelled this prestigious sedan. Instead they brought an aborted crossover/sedan fetus. A coworker bought one and it's just ugly.

Is that 6.5 to 60 with or without all that wheelspin?

It was still such a dull, bland looking car despite JD's praise of its updated styling. A very good car, no doubt, and it would be hard to make the case for the Lexus version other than badge prestige (and styling)

My 07 had so many issues. I wanted to love the car, but traded it in at 51,000 miles. Toyota's customer service was awful.

What kind of issues?
@chriskrueger8225
@chriskrueger8225 День назад
@@joepearlzz8504 transmission had to be reflashed 3 times because of horrible downshifting. Sunroof had to be repaired because it was stuck open. Tpms had to be repaired. Infotainment screen went blank. A piece of outside window trim on driver side rear window fell off while driving. The VVT-I oil supply line failed and the car lost almost all it's oil. Not one warning light came on to let me know. Thankfully I caught it before It did any major engine damage.
