NO LIVE CONCERT VIDEOS in this series - it's a road movie shot by me when I'm NOT playing, to give you a taste of our touring life off stage. This was shot by me, Morgan Fisher, on my Chinese DJI Osmo Pocket camera, and quickly edited on a Mac. Made in the same spirit with which I made "Mott in America" back in 1974, only this time with sound!

Mott the Hoople show the banal to the highs of life on the road, from 'Diary of a Rock n Roll Star' to this. Met Ariel Bender in the back of a van doing newspaper distribution, cash in hand,he said I reminded him of Overend Watts. Great guy.

Thanks for giving us this glance behind the scenes. I just read Ian’s DRRS and it makes me appreciate that view even more in contrast.

When I was 16 years old in 1974, jammin’ to Mott in middle America, I simply could not have imagined riding with Morgan, Bender, Ian and the gang in a van 45 years later! Thank you for sharing you guys, and thank you for the wonderful show in Minneapolis!! One of the memories of my life!! -Dale/MN

Fascinating insight into a day in the life. I have viewed all of this series you have posted, and it is true reality video. Excellent stuff! It would have been nice if the tour would have stopped in Oklahoma City, or Tulsa...

I saw the British Lions and Blue Oyster Cult show in the 70's. "BOC" laser show was state of the art. Morgan Fisher was right "BOC" was first to do that type laser show. I recall the drummer mid point in the show put on a horse's head while playing a solo with the laser show full throttle and I wondered if someone slipped something in my drink. It was unforgettable and crazy show. Morgan had a bottle on his piano and kept swigging all through the British Lions show. I'll never forgot the British Lions performance--they were great. I passed by the Beacon Theater saw Ariel and Morgan and some other fans. It was nice meeting Morgan. Mott "74 was a great show in NYC at the Beacon. Ian sounded like he did in the 70's and Morgan and Ariel played perfectly. Great night!

Who can get out of that bus the fastest when bender let's one rip ? My money is on Hunter. He is a Machine, programmed to deliver the best music. His band helps too. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.

I've only been a fan since 1972 , but I love the early stuff too . And yes , getting to ride in the tour bus ... who would have thought ! This has been a great series for the fans and if a feature documentary were to be made it would have to include this footage . Come to New Zealand before you stop playing 45 years is a very long time to wait for a gig .😁 thanks again Morgan.

I'm with Ian ~ don't like musicals!!

Hah - I don't like most of them either. Les Miserables - give me a break - what sentimental rubbish! And I won't try to convince you, but West Side Story (the 1961 movie) for me is really high quality music and dancing. Bernstein was one of America's top modern classical composers - not, as I said, some hack.

@@morganfjp Well, there's exceptions to every rule ~ and WSS does have rather good source material!! I do have a liking for Sunshine on Leith though, great songs, excellent director and a great cast ~ I'd pay to watch Peter Mullan sitting on a park bench all day!

morganfjp And yet I think of songs like “Marionette” and “Crash street kids” as musicals or a minor operette.
