Interesting video Uncle. It is a shame to think some knuckldraggers would set fires. Picture and sound are spot on when the camera angle is appropriate for the viewer. Technical difficulties! The GT sounds extraordinary. Your riding area is Epic.
I was in the Lynchburg area last weekend and flew right over this fire. Looked pretty nasty. Had this happen in my backyard a few years back and it’s quite sad to see. Stay safe out there man.
Definitely been a dry year around here. Driest since 2008 or something like that I heard. I am over by that Tuggles Gap fire that has spread to ~1150 acres. Only good thing about situations like these is restoring faith in humanity how the community comes together to support one another. Hope all is well sir - Shane
I was driving home from Food Dog yesterday evening from Chatham Virginia and saw all this thick smoke in the air and wondering oh heck a wildfire let out somewhere in the northwest of the national forest I suppose !!!
It’s good to see you out riding again. Sounds like you’ve got your R.E. dialed in nicely. Still, I miss the Himalayan. Sad to think that someone started those fires intentionally.
Im finally getting some breaks in the weather to coincide with my days off so I can get back out there, just trying to sort some mic issues while saving $ to complete my luggage setup. I don't grasp why anyone would intentionally start forest fires.
I didn’t know that fires would be so late in the year but I guess you’ve had a really dry autumn. On this side of the pond 🇬🇧 it has been endless rain for weeks with a bit of early snow in some places.
At this stage that is small compared to the fire that has been burning for weeks in the Shenandoah National Park north of your area by 100 miles or so, that is close to where I ride east of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Great video. Beautiful colors up there. A shame about the wildfires. Thanks for showing us. Haven't heard much about the food delivery business. Is that still working out?
We had a wildfire spark up a mile from our house last week in the Asheville NC area, burned 500 acres. Fortunate that the winds kept it away from our neighborhood. My INT is safe.
