This is a real harbor freight gem. Similar mounts are $90. I paid $50 without a coupon, but it regularly goes on sell for $39.99. I wish I would have mounted the TV to the wall years ago. Much safer. I would buy it again.
Is there a way to tilt this more to one side? Mine looks crooked but when I have my leveler on the wall it's straight but the brackets holding the TV is not.
Good eye to point out the weak link of those 3 screws holding the tv on. Bad design. I installed eye bolts above the mount and ran a steel rope through the plate to reinforce the mount in case it breaks or that bolt gives out. I'll look into that thing you put on there. What exactly is that?
How the hell did you lift that giant TV by yourself to put it on the mounting brackets?! As a single woman with a 50-inch TV I'm completely stumped how I'm going to lift mine!
Newer TVs are incredibly light. They are just awkward to hold. Be careful not to put any twisting force on the TV, keep your grips square, hands at 12 and 6 or 3 and 9 oclock.
does this allow the tv to be moved to the left or right from center mount and be flush with the wall. i'm looking to put this behind a door but want to be able to extend it over a closet.
No, only when centered can it be flush to the wall. The length of the arms in the middle do not allow it to sit flush while right or left of center. I have my TV off the mount right now so it was pretty easy to check for you. Good timing.
Currently I have a 55” TV I want to mount now but in a month or so I’ll be upgrading to at least 65” would the mount position to the wall need to be changed? If not, do I need to mount the wall side TV mount higher to accept the larger tv in a month? TIA!
Yeah you will probably be switching from Vesa 200 to Vesa 400 where you don't have room to adjust it, so you'll want to mount it a little higher. Going from 55 to 65 will require you to bump it up about 3 inches but bezels vary so you have to get your new TVs exact dimensions, subtract new tvs height from current tvs height, divide by two. Raise it that much.
@@striker1211I have a 65 inch with vesa 400x200 and in the instructions its pictured and it says to use the horizontal bars on 400x200, is that right or always use all 4 bars?
