For the guy in the pit this was extremely dangerous, if any part of that system failed while they were yanking on that rock he would be maimed for life or dead. He was directly in the path of it falling.
That's how leedskalnin did things. It's good. Shame it doesn't explain how the ancients moved their megaliths. The could not have done it that way for they didn't have the snatch blocks nor the chains. They were limited to wood and fibre and it just don't work that way. But what they could do with blocks like that one is roll them over, tumble them. Or put rollers underneath. Or even a sled and pull. Sled and pull is the most popular typical representation of what they did, I think and also the most unlikely I'd imagine. :) I didn't bother to watch the whole vid. It's just about this isn't it? But I read the comment where someone's apparently underneath it. Terrifying. Shouldn't be. But I see the thing was made 11 years ago.
