Emma put all baged, boxed and bread up in upper cupboards. DONT LEAVE ANY CRUMBS ON FLOOR until you visually get him out. Remember if you see one mouse their might be more. A tub with a tight lid will work too!💓💓💓

Thanks! I love watching your videos, I look forward to Fridays for your video to come out. I am one of the subscribers who keep telling you to get good curtains in your bus/home with some sort of insulation and blackout stuff. I hope you don't get upset about me saying anything I just worry about you and I want you to feel safe and cozy. I have always been one to jump in and try things that are out of my comfort zone. i doubt you will ever be out my way ( I live in Ohio) I sure would help you make your curtains and get or make you something to hang as you go in to your little bathroom area and something matching to hang as you go in to your bedroom. Your doing so great on your own and just forget about the negative comments. Those people are most likely jealous of your courage to build out a bus and make it a home. Anyway keep up the good work. My husband said your doing a great job also and that's a big compliment. Okay ,we'll see ya next week. Have a safe & great week Love Connie

Emma, I have enjoyed watching the transformation of the bus and yourself. You have certainly become more sure of yourself. A quick tip for doing scribing to get the arch shapes. Use a fairly large disk (Plastic or wood or whatever) with a small hole in the centre for your pen. This will be easier to use and you should also get the slight ups and downs.

I use bars of Isish Spring in different parts of my rig to keep pest like mice, squirrels, rabbits and such out of areas with electric wiring( they love eating the insulation), keeps them out of food areas, closest and such. Last a very long time. Cheap and saves unwanted visiting pests from making the inside their home. Good luck on the New journeys in New life...

Emma, Great video VERY funny lol 😂🤣 So glad you got yourself sorted! (I knew you'd be ok with the bike once you got your clutch control better, driving the bike daily where you were up n down the loose gravel probably helped!) So funny about the mouse! Seal all your food in air tight containers/out of reach of the floor to avoid unnecessary/uninvited "guests" in your food! You've really grown in confidence which is great to see! Absolutely love your videos and you energy and spontaneity! Hope youre having a great weekend and good week next week! Look forward to seeing the next one see what you've been up to etc.. Don't stress about the driving its not a race and once you get more comfortable driving it'll be less stressful(stress is tiring!) Take care, cheers from London 👍😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 x

It's nice to see both Past Emma and Future Emma enjoying the adventure! Driving isn't always easy. You're still learning what your pace should be. This is not the same kind of travelling you were used to. So just try different things, and you'll learn what you like best. I wish I was in your shoes! Except I'd completely suck at RU-vid and I'd be penniless.

Suggestion, a high-quality cable lock for your motorcycle, if you don't already have one, would be very beneficial for when the motorcycle is on the bus and when it is off the bus, especially when you go into stores. Just like your car, never leave the key in it. Also, you might want to put a spare key to the bus door hidden somewhere on the outside just in case you forget your keys on the inside. Wish you well down the road, from El Cajon, Ca.

If you had a ramp to step up on while loading your bike it would make it easier for you. Get a long wide plank and put a block, that's wider than the plank, under one side so that as your walking your bike up the ramp you are elevating yourself as well then you wouldn't have to stretch your arms so much and would have better control of the bike. You'll want to test your ramp before loading your bike for stability.

2 tips from a guy that loads motorcycles on that type of carrier. 1. you only need the front wheel pocket open to safely load/carry the bike. Cover ALL BUT THE FRONT WHEEL POCKET with a strip of metal. Rolling it over a smooth surface will make it more controllable to load and unload. 2. You are short like me. find or build a small step/bench that you can walk along as you load/unload. If you can get higher off the ground next to the carrier, you will be able to leverage the bike better.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve heard the bus/van life issue with mice can be troublesome. The best proactive tip is to be sure to keep all food in well sealed containers as food is mostly what they are after. I am wondering why you are traveling now though? Did you just want a break from the build? Seems you still have a lot of details to finish up on the bus build…?? I think I would be restless if it wasn’t complete & I was living with so many projects surrounding me.

Just found your RU-vid channel and love it. Used to live in Layton, Utah for about 7 years and loved the surrounding country. I see you making the effort to do many things you have never done before and love your go-to attitude along with many successes. Well done. In your dream to travel the back roads of the country you stumbled on something that will change your life. Probably, at some point in the future you will want to give up the bus life but the one thing that will stay with you the rest of your life is the love of riding a motorcycle. Your decision to get the Honda Monkey was an excellent choice. Hondas are the most reliable bikes in the market and very strongly built. Being a new rider with a new bike you have bypassed the usually in-city trips for some actual 'adventure riding'. That does not usually happen but you have already found the freedom and just plain fun of riding the back roads. Let me make a few suggestions based on my motorcycle touring in the US and France. You will drop the bike from time to time as your skill level increases. Everybody does. The most common injury you will experiance is road rash, scrapes and bruises. You already wear a helmet and that is good. Next up you should buy some leather gloves. Hit a bike shop and get the ones that feel most comfortable. These will protect the palms of your hands from scrapes and abrasions from sliding in gravel or concrete. Some good boots would be good to so you protect your ankles and add support. Buy something good for hiking and that should help you by providing ankle support when riding. Arything else is up to you. Those three items were my main kit but I did have a leather jacket too good for the road and on cooler days and nights. Something classy is fine. Keep your speed down on gravel and sand back toads and gradually increase as you become more adept. Learn to ride standing up on your foot pegs as this can provide more control in some situations. Keep you engine revolutions higher when going up hills so you do not stall and low gears for more control in tricky situations. These will all become second nature the more miles you put on the bike. Oh, the fun you will have and you will never look back from riding the Honda. Eventually, you may want a bike that is a little larger, say 250cc. Just keep in mind and this is very important, that the weight of the bike is critical for handling on back roads. You are already using a very manuverable and light weight bike. You are probably 90 pounds soaking wet so manhandled a bike that weighs 350 to 400 pounds is not something you want to do. You have to be able to easily pick up the bike when you drop it and getting on you bus rack would be nearly impossible for you. The Monkey is perfect for that and one day you may want to upgrade to a 250cc that weighs less than 300 pounds. Just keep weight in mind no matter what you do. You might want to add some small soft baggage over the rear of the seat to carry stuff when away from the buss. Finally, something I hate to bring up but there are people out there that make the rounds in parking areas just waiting for the opportunity to steal your bike. Please buy the strongest chain locking system you can find and always keep it locked up. And make sure you carry insurance on your equipment. It will really ruin your day if you come back and find your bike gone. If you want to see a neat lady who does adventure travel on a bike look up Itchy Boots on youtube. She is fantastic. Currently she's is in Utah and heading to Alaska. She drove up from South America. I have had a motorcycle all my life and loved every minute of it. Best wishes in your adventures.

Ever see those lifts that are used on cargo trucks? They fold down, then you can lower them to the ground, load stuff, then raise it up. An ordinary winch + a little clever welding of some levers= a pretty good bike lift. A locking pin so you don't have to worry about the winch dropping while you're driving.

Ok Emma with practice comes confidence. Driving the bus, loading the bike. All skills you are learning. 1 , lot of rest areas are patrolled now by troopers. Truckstops you going to be stared at hit on by some real winners. Park in front lots if using truck stops. 2, make your shopping list based on what you need ,your available storage, and want you want. 3 , finishing projects gives accomplishments. Look for the little holes where mice come in and plug. Buy some magnetic bug screens and cut to fit around some windows. 4 , buy small GPS unit that you can set for rv. If using Google set to satellite so you get better look at route before going. 5, clean windows, comfortable seat , position for driving. Stop relax walk . Your schedule is only to be back in Utah an set day. Rest is open book. Glad you met someone to give you such a lift

You achieved a lot (not all that you planned but that never happens in real life anyway so don't worry), you seem to be building in confidence and really tackling things that come your way (mouse and driving) and you are definitely living the bus-life. Plus you have a nice tan and look great!
