I thought you were giong to show 5 cities in kansas, instead you shoew mostly the suburbs of kansas city. It is quite obvious you know very liittle about kansas
I hear Topeka isn't a good place to live at all!! And the minimum wage for Olathe, Shawnee, Leawood, Lenexa, Manhattan, Lawence & Overland Park are $7.25 - $11.15, that's not good😬 most of these places wont go up until 2026🤔🤷♀
@@micah_tackett8091 No, all of Kansas is a horrible to live in, that's why it is in the top 10 every single year for the most people leaving the state.
@@micah_tackett8091 It's very bad, just one example is some of the absolute worst climate/weather of any area in the country. Extreme temperature changes, too much wind, and too much drought.
I have lived in Kansas my whole life. And when I worked I got one dollar and hour of course that was done years ago but I was lucky I got that much. Merry Christmas and God bless.
This is so much bs you did a video of only cities around Kansas City umm there is like 98 percent more of the state the cites you listed are some of the most expensive cites to live in
I'm from Brazil, but if I ever go live in the states I'll surely consider moving to Kansas. I've grown up watching Superman movies so it is the part of the US I love the most. Also, their culture is a bit similar to my state here in Brazil ~middle west country style~ not disregarding their huge hdi in comparison to states nearby.
HEY Y'ALL , JUST ONE QUESTION FOR ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN IN KANSAS CITY , WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET A FRESH START IN LIFE , MOVE TO , THAT HAS LOW CRIME RATE , AFFORDABLE LIVING , GOOD PAYING JOB'S , FRIENDLY PEOPLE ? I CURRENTLY LIVE IN VIRGINIA AND I AM REALLY TIRED OF THIS STATE , CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN IDEA OF PLACES TO CHECK OUT ?
@@mr-alexknight6578 you mean property taxes ? Sure they may be higher because of the high property values but there’s also amazing schools. One of the wealthiest counties in the country and very low crime
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 doesn't matter much to people that don't understand real-estate and buy places that are barely within their budget...which is the majority of people the past 30 years. Soon as the evaluation increases, so do taxes and insurance and suddenly they realize they've over-reached but don't seem to understand why. Math matters people!
I've lived in Kansas, and I still travel to or through that state. I know Kansas quite well. Your video clip ONLY featured communities in the Kansas City area or in N. E. Kansas. A lot of the state was omitted. Hmm...
I was surprised Wichita and its suburbs aren't mentioned. It seems like a nice place to live, and the people in Wichita talk about what a ghetto Topeka is.
@@rtom8947 Wichita has large areas of the city that are very rundown and economically depressed. Crime rate is above average. Mostly tons of low wage jobs and lots of drug issues. All of the "nicer" areas are your typical overpriced suburbs just outside the city limits. Horrible weather most of the year, high taxes, and far from anywhere scenic. Mostly cliquish unfriendly people.
Lenexa is my home town but I haven't live there in over sixty years. I also used to live in Overland Park but that too has been many years ago. Both cities have grown up since I lived there. I had friends who lived in Lenexa but several have died and the only one I know of that still lives there is a teacher at Johnson County Community College but I haven't seen him in years. Thank you for showing these cities. Several I used to visit to shop but that was also many years ago. God bless.
Topeka is a bad place to live, all around town is high crime not many jobs and its almost impossible to find things to do with your kids most people in the area go to kc for things to do. I live in western ks currently. Take a map of kansas look at the towns theyre very spread apart in western ks and dense east of salina. I think it speaks for itself theirs nothing in western ks nobody wants to live in western ks theres large mortgage loan incentives to buy a home in western ks. Lawrence is being over run by homeless its a prime area law enforcement are relocating homeless to driving down the street in lawrence ive seen homeless people pushing shopping carts throwing water bottles at moving cars... good luck attracting people ks..
Topeka is actually an amazing place to live. We have 5 kids and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. There’s so much for kids here, youth sports, hiking, lake Shawnee, children’s museums, downtown music festivals, water parks and more. The city has one of the fastest growing economies in Kansas. The GDP has grown 18% in five years, unemployment is at 2.1% and there are currently 6,800 open jobs in Topeka. The community boasts two of the top ten school districts in Kansas (Auburn Washburn and Silver Lake). PLUS the city has Washburn University, a D2 university with 7,000 students. They announced last year that any kid who graduates from a Shawnee county high school gets to go to college for FREE if their family makes less than $75,000. Over $75,000 households get reduced tuition. So I’d say give the city another look. They have invested $500 million in the downtown in the past five years, companies are booming here, and it may surprise you how much things have changed.
Disagree. Incorrect. This video is completely inaccurate. These are all cities located near and considered suburbs of Kansas City, with only 2 exceptions, Manhattan and Lawrence, and Lawrence is still pretty close. So many other cities in Kansas, that are great places to live, were omitted. Hays, Hutchinson, Abilene, and many others should have been considered, but it's apparent the maker of this video is geographically biased.
If you are looking for amenities in Kansas the County to find nice things is Johnson county . Don't go to South East corner of Kansas . I thought there were two counties down there was messed up . There are 9 counties in that corner of the state that have tons of society ills. Dexter Lombardo 🤠🧔
