Little remark on the awful ironsights: that is actually a misconception by the developers. Ring sights (aka ghost ring) are meant to be brought close to the eye, so that the rear ring becomes blurry and you can focus on the front post only. when used correctly, contrary to the game they offer a better field of view and aiming speed. In the game it looks like you are still holding the gun out in front and trying to look through the aperture. IRL you would press the stock into your shoulder and cheek weld into the stock, bringing the aperture much closer to your eye. would love to see that improvement.
I don't know... Sights like that are meant to be used with both eyes open. Its really hard to translate that in game where your staring at a flat screen...
@@johnzkeePW it's better to look through all sights with your both eyes open :) it is also possible to create the effect in a game but devs refuse to do it since it would look "weird" to most people
The mp5 and the uzi are the just polar opposites… the jedi versus dark side, they compliment and can out do their counterpart… truly theyre the MOST iconic weapons of yhe 20th century
i think a buff to the mp5 and mp7 would be adding 10mm for the mp5 and the mp7 should get its 4.6 round, both should cost 3 points to add these calibers to the guns
The don't need a buff to damage; mp5 is already 2-shot bodyshot in close range aside from against heavy armor. Buff it any more and rifles will be even more irrelevant than they already are.
I like the fact that you don't talk abt damage statistics on spreadsheets and stuff like that like most other RU-vidrs cuz I don't want to see a piece of paper with numbers on it explaining the damage I would much rather have you explain the damage based off of how you played with the gun tbh xD And for that I like your videos and you now have a new sub! :D
So good in this game, at least on console. Farthest full auto range (without bipod) of pretty much any weapon and most engagements in Insurgency (in my experience) are within 50 metres, where 9mm does the job and more.
This gun has become my go to as long as I don’t need penetration and engagements are within 60m mostly. Even then I’ve been playing with it so much I’ve adjusted to its lead. I can set it on semi and tap the AI super fast with multiple rounds because the recoil is so mild. If I’m in a sticky situation in CQB, I got full auto and 40 rounds. This gun absolutely shreds and I’ve grown to love it so much. My next project is finding something for mid range in 7.62 NATO to penetrate barriers at range where my beloved MP5A2 can’t, turned out the perfect weapon was the MP5 in 7.62 NATO, G3. Update: I’ve started to use the MP5A5 and love the burst feature. Let’s me conserve ammo in CQB and still have volume of fire at close to mid range up to maybe 30 meters.
I never use the mp5 because it sounds so weak. Maybe I'll give it a chance after hearing your praise for it, but a good part of why I enjoy playing Sandstorm is for the satisfying gun sounds
With the suppressor it is so quiet up close. I’ve run behind enemy lines decimating entire teams and they couldn’t locate me even though I was right next to them - this wouldn’t have been possible with a silenced AR
Hilarious how insurgency sandstorm was supposed to be realistic but forgot mp5sd's frontend includes ports that drop 9mm's velocity down below speed of sound.
Take it up with NWI, they changed it shortly after this video. The old attachment system was far, far better and actually let you pick the shit you wanted much faster.
