Plus RPK actually appears in the prequel as a standard Insurgency Machine Gunner pick. Machine Gunner class should get the following Both Sides M60 (E4/6 Variant for the Security with shorter barrel but with an integrated grip and bipod to compensate) (Insurgents get the 'Nam variant) Insurgents: RPK RPK-74 Security: M27 IAR SIG-338
Yh but the gunner isn’t meant to be light and have good manoeuvrability. Youre literally just meant to hold angles and long lines of sight to suppress/keep the enemy at bay
A guide on an LMG that says something except "lie down and hold an angle" (which is literally all you can do with those) is already a good one in my book, so let's see how this goes 👌
I personally rather use the m240b for long rage engagement, since it is basically a full auto110, and the m249 for mid range, since it is basically a 200 round m4. The reason I don't use the m249 for long range is because it can take up to 3-4 shots to kill someone at long range, while the m249 is almost always a 1 shot kill. And since I play on a 768p screen cuz I'm too poor to afford anything else, i can't afford to hit someone more than once at longer ranges since they are basically pixels at that point.
My Arma 3 experience has taught me to always pick the M249, and if something shoots at me, unload all 200 round at it until a) it stops shooting at me b) it gets scared shitless and runs or c) my teammates tell me to calm tf down Also, L7A2 for next update
If they really want weapons for the Gunner, for the Insurgents, they can add the DP-27/DPM, RPD (one of the more probable ones because it has irl DSArms furniture to mount optics), RP-46, RPK, RPK-74/RPK-16, RPL-20 and maybe the odd bullpup PKP for choice. For the Security side, they can add the M27 (with D-60 drum mag please), M60E4/6, MG4, MG5 and the whole slew of hypermodern MGs like the FN Evolys and MG 6.8/338.
The easiest Security weapon they could implement would be the AUG H-BAR. They already have extended 42rd mags (only in Coop modes). That would make for a great controllable low-firerate IAR.
NWI should move the Galil to rifles and instead give us some proper LMGs/SAWs: RPK, RPD, Negev, AUG HBAR, L86 LSW, HK21/23, MG4, MG5, M27 IAR, Stoner 63 (belt-fed and automatic rifle configs.).
I don't know why but looking through a 4x optic on a SAW and seeing everything shake back n forth in the scope is hilarious. It's like your shaking out some salt at your enemies
Weapons we need : Lmgs Rpk Rpd M60 M27 Smgs Ump45 Mpx Pp19 Ppsh41 Shotguns Benelli m4 Aa12 Spas 12 Saiga 12 Aussault rifles F2000 Tar 21 Hk416 Fn fnc Scar L Ots 14 groza etc. And of course some pistols and sniper rifles
Honestly i'd like to see an M249 variant be added to the game with the short barrel and stock, it'll make it a great CQB option (and it's much easier to rig and jump with). As an offset, only allow it to have a starter belt in a nutsack instead of a 200 round box
Neat real life lore for the Saw: the saw is designed to be able to switch the rof on the fly partly for ammo management, but mostly so you don't burn out a barrel because of heat. Normal fire is supposed to be around 80-100 rpm, while the one in sandstorm is essentially, "Oh God, we need to absolutely suppress the fuck out of a target" rof
A few factual errors here, firstly the US armed forces didn't use the M249 with an ACOG or flash hider, they used it in the most basic setup ever: heat shield removed and the minimi wire tube stock. The marine's M249 didn't have a picatinny rail until the late 90's
Nothing scares me more than a player who can hold down points while also knowing that suppressing fire doesn’t mean laying down 50 rounds because you saw a tiny bit of movement.
Yeah the 249 is my go to gun also the weak power it has makes up for it in the 200rnd capacity and fire rate, if you hold the trigger you get at least a 18-20 second cyclic
Update: Managed to play it for minute or two today, at literal end of the round so didn't see much action. But I accustomed myself to the M249 on Range so it might be decent
First day i strugle to play this game ...After nearly a week i learned how to move trough all Maps and to use most weapons ...every weapon has a unique caratteristic and isnt only a "skin" like in AAA games...i like the slow gameplay and ti find ways to cut of other players movements
As for the long-distance remark about the PKM, the whole "PKM fires a bigger bullet" doesn't actually help it's range that much. In fact, it loses one-shot kill potential somewhat quickly, especially against armor, which makes the M249 better at range IMO. That being said, the best LMGs for range are the AP ones since they have crazy one-shot range against even Heavy Armor, but they also have a fuckton of recoil (at least, the M240B does) and lower muzzle velocity than the 249.
The gunner class needs a new gun. The Insurgents can get the M60E4 Chambered in 7.62x51 NATO with an alternative ammunition being the 7.62x57 Special Purpose MG cartridge, while Security can get SIG Sauer MG .338 Norma. It would make some sense for Insurgents to have the M60 as while it's still in some use it has lost most favor in the U.S. ARMY and U.S.M.C being mostly replaced by the M249 and the M240B, as the M249 is being replaced by the M416, (or at least it's trying to be) we do see Insurgents using weapons ranging from the M16A2, IMI UZI 9mm, IMI Galil SAR, Berreta M9, Makarov 9x18mm, Desert Eagle, John Browning HP, Export QBZ models, cheap AKs as well as other Izamash and Kalashnikov designs, WW2 relics, and the P90 for some reason. The MG .338 Norma is currently trying to replace the M240B as a better alternative to eliminate hostiles entrenched in buildings. M60E4 7.62x51mmNATO - 7.62x57mm Penetration: High - Very High Recoil: Moderate - Moderately High ROF: 676 MG .338 .338 Norma Penetration: Very High Recoil: Very High ROF: 737
Just give the Insurgents the old school M60 or RPK. Their guns usually are themed around being older guns or the hand me downs from whoever is in the area. Security would make more sense to run around with the newer M60 models or the HK416 in the M27 IAR configuration (the rifle you alluded to replacing the M249 in the Marine Corps). Regardless, "muh realism" aside, just give Gunner new weapons.
Dude the difference in recoil between pc and consoles is literally night and day. Even the saw is near impossible to control off the bipod on console. It shoots 5.56 It doesn’t have shoot the moon levels of recoil like it does in game and definitely not by just the second fuckin round. They don’t understand or like machineguns and/or they hate those who do. WHY DOES THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY HAVE TO FUCK US OVER?! We’re not monsters, we just like belt feds, SINCE WHEN WAS THAT SUCH A BAD THING?!
Ok, as a gunner main I've been sleeping on the SAW just because I ❤️ big boolet and always run the Bravo or the Auto-Mosin but I'ma have to try the SAW now
I was a saw gunner for 2 years and not one time did I get any m4 mag to feed in any saw I used. At least 6 double feeds per belt, shame I never saw (haha) them in their heyday
Bro how are you still sick?? Lol it’s been like… a month? idk I hope you’re feeling ok and it’s just taking a while for your voice to go back to normal
"Gunner gets no new guns? It's neglected? You're crazy bro. Now come on, let's go play with the new MG they just added a few days ago. Remember the ChainSAW from cod ghosts?"
is it compatible with M16 mags like in real life ,I want to try no armor urban warfare house clearing run light as possible ,I'm an old lightfighter manchu not sure how the game is haven't playd yet
Its surprising how many people I'm friends with that are in this video. Including me lol. Snipes if you ever wanna join us for content that would be awesome
Using this as insuragant on crossing and defending C on that house with the bridge and god probably 60 kills because the bots were bunched up and just wouldn't stop coming😂 shit was hilarious
Did he just say the recoil from the standing position is manageable lol I literally had to up my verticle sensitivity to actually make the barrel go down mgs in this game essentially work like sniper if your using em not bypoded cause if your first shots not on your not landing any in time before your shot
The M249 feeds from a belt, not a box magazine. The box that hangs off the bottom is just there to support the belt. The ammo belts need to be supported so they don't bind as they feed into the weapon.
I know it can - I've actually been trained on them and used them, even with the STANAG magazines and I know they're unreliable with those magazines; that wasn't my point. My point is that he called it a "200 round box magazine" which it isn't. It's a belt.
