mr heater big buddy heater electric fan option 

I used a fan I believe I bought at Harbor Freight and it works great. Didn’t attach it to the heater just rested it on a 5 gl pail behind it. Works great in my 12 x 20 shed. Takes the chill out of the inside when working on projects.Checked it one time and went from 40 to 55 inside with out side temp of 40. Used the heater on the low setting using 1lb propane tank.Thanks Kevin.

I have a fan, like in your video. I attached it to my portable Buddy with ties. I use a 20 pound propane tank. It works awesome! ..........heats my room from 62 degrees to 70 degrees plus, in 6 minutes. Thank you for your video.

Thank you very much for taking the time to use an electronic fan to distribute heat forward instead of the heat going straight up. I have owned a few big buddies camping buddies and small hunting buddy. I have an older model the fan on it never did work. I researched RU-vid to find a way attach a fan. Kevin yours ideas were the best and least cost effective. Those electronic fans come in a lot of different models. There's office desktop fans, camping fans and more. I picked up a six inch desktop electronic fan at Big lots fortunate dollars. It has a adjustable spring clamp attached to it. I have been using this fan for over two years. It works very well and in made of good material plastic light weight two speeds low and high. I am pleased with this fan. And I thank you for informing people that there is another way to set up a fan on their Big buddy and the other ones in the Big buddy family. Once again thank you Kevin.

I bought one of those little fans at Walmart for 5 bucks, about three years ago. On it's lowest setting it still blows too fast. Wish I could slow it down. I use it on my lap top to keep it cool. That's clever how you mounted it.

There’s a dewalt version of that heater that uses the 20 volt drill batteries to run a fan a light and USB ports I always keep batteries charged up for it. I love it for hunting. Great idea for my other one that doesn’t have that option

Great Idea! I was never a fan of radiant heat. Air circulation is so important. You could always use 2 hose clamps instead of zip ties for a more stable mount. Just a thought :) Thank you for sharing. Be well!

Since the heat is concentrated upward, macgivered an overhead fan… circulates the heat very well.

I just put a stand fan a few feet behind mine and it moves the heat just fine.

You can get a fan that needs no power other than heat for that same purpose. A thermo-electric fan that normally sits on top of a wood burning stove. The heat generates electricity a spins.

You don’t need any zip ties just hook the base of the fan around the handle. Then swivel the fan towards the handle. it will hang on the backside of the handle.

I did this same thing, but instead I mounted a stove fan, one of them that uses heat to spin the fan instead of electricity. So simply turning the heater on turns on the fan too

What about those fans that work on wood stoves without electricity ? Could that work on top of the Buddy ?

What about a clamp usb fan on the handle as long as the handle is resting toward the rear position? (Not directly above the heat) Anyone see any issues?

They stopped making the fans in 2019. I looked it up at the factory mr heater

Holding the knob down when in the off position does nothing! To prime the pilot light you must hold the knob down in the pilot position.

Company says warranty void if you use fans.

Buys propane heater for when the power goes out. Then uses an electric fan to circulate the heat...
