Would you say Mr. Super Clear is safe to use to seal in Panel lining and Water slide decals? Planning on using Semi-Gloss on bare plastic then following up with Panel Lining and Decals and finishing with a Clear Flat.

and then there's me using an automotive paint top coat because it's more cost effective. I bought a Mr. hobby topcoat (the blue can) it only last me for about 2 kits ( parts separated. sprayed 2 coats). on my untrained eye. the finish looks & feels pretty much the same. I've heard gloss finish is good for doing washes because the wash will flow much easier & flat topcoat is more suitable for doing filters or finishing coat(if you don't prefer glossy finish) anyone can confirm?

I bought some Mr super clear for my own hobby of doll repaint, I'm not sure why but the cans feel tiny XD you would happen to know if the 170 ml is the largest would you?

I have 2 questions for you Lin.k sensei. One may sound silly but still, better ask than wonder my whole life. First, the silly (nooby?) one : what’s the point in choosing gloss or flat paint when you can top coat your job for either one or the other look? And second question : do you Top coat again after your final touch ups ? Thanks for all your work, teaching, advices and jokes.

So things such as dry brushing come after your first top coat of semi gloss? 1. Base painted figure 2. Top coat 3. Dry brush or any other details. 4. Top coat 5. Touch ups

I bought the mr super clear to put over some models which I've done in water based acrylics and oils then I read the canister and it said not to so I haven't used them but you seem to use them just fine? I was going to order something else as a replacement but maybe you've just saved me like $30

Any reason you use semi gloss over gloss? Most guides I've looked at reccomend gloss before decals/panel accent

Mr paint on plastic do you know what is the difference between mr hobby topcoat rattelcans and mr super clear? I know mr topcoat is a part of the acrysion line of paints so its 100% solvent free. Maybe the difference is that mr super clear is laqcuer based?

Since dullcoat has gone off the market I bought some mr hobby matte and gloss and I'm not impressed. The.matte is still shiny and protection sucks. Does not pass the scratch test. Do Not Buy!!!!!!
