Aw it means that Wrench and Numbers have known each others since forever. It makes Numbers' death even sadder knowing that Wrench was left alone for the first time in his life
@Runaway You literally empathised with a hitman, dude! Nothing sad about Number's death, it's a part of their game, and a ruthless killer like Wrench wouldn't feel anything other than pure rage and urge for revenge. No soft emotions in that kind of job, and for that kind of people!
@@vindizna5703That‘s not how human emotions work at all. He might be repressing his sadness, but that doesn‘t mean it is not there. People in history who were horrible monsters also had loved ones, goals and personal quirks. You‘re thinking of a robot or something.
@rudy2fat he got old and fat and his killer instincts dulled. It's pretty much the thing season 4 started off with where every time the new criminal empire led by the most ruthless and intelligent monster fresh off the boat deposes the old one it eventually gets complacent and overly comfortable, then in turn 'crumbles into the sea' when a younger and hungrier monster comes along to devour it. I'm not the hugest fan of the hanzee twist personally but pretty sure that's the basis for it, malvo would've had a fight on his hands with the man who wiped out the gerhardts.
@rudy2fat in the foreground Key and Peele arguing about something dumb while Billy Bob Thornton murders a hundred people in 30 seconds- yeah, that was just a funny plot element, not really designed to make a whole lot of sense.
Notice how Hanzee saves the two young kids from bullying and recruits them. This is the exact thing that happened to him when he was a child. Thus, the circle repeats itself.
Maybe start one of my own; "So that it too would one day collapse and fall into the sea". Fantastic writing/premonition especially as Malvo guns down the entire Fargo syndicate. This seems to follow the theme of the ozymandias breaking bad monolugue.
@@baburao87 Yes. The head of the syndicate in season 1 was named Moses Tripoli, Hanzee's new indentity. The looks from native american to ''persian'' is the ''I need a face man'' part.
The man in the trench coat (identified as ‘The Book’ on IMDB) is God, and Hanzee is Satan. That’s why The Book knows Hanzee’s thoughts, reminds him of the fall of human empires, and provides Hanzee with the Phoenix-like resurrection. And Hanzee’s retort - maybe I’ll start my own empire - was Satan’s original pledge. Remember Episode 1, when the judge told Rye of the bet placed by God and the Devil. Hence episode 10’s title, Palindrome, implying the circular endlessness between good and evil, between purpose and senselessness. Best anthology season ever.
I always thought that lorne malvo in season 1 was supposed to be a representation of satan as he's truly a chaotic evil character, you can never really figure out his motivation, he wasnt doing all that solely for money. And other interactions with characters were like he was more interested in getting people to do the wrong thing. And his death, it was like he was bitter that his time on earth was coming to an end, not afraid or remorseful
@Zz Z What Bible is this???? God never created evil in my Bible, never send ANY angels to do evil. My bible tells of Gods nature, and never says anything about being evil. Says ALLOT about our evil hearts, evil natures..which is obvious. Id be careful what you say about the one who created it ALL. MY Bible says He is righteous, Holy & perfect in nature. Furthermore, if your ignorance thinks otherwise it doesn't matter one bit, your finite pea mind couldn't even break down a Fargo episode, don't try and explain God to anyone anymore..... you are terrible at it, inadequate & will only do harm, in which you will have to account for when you die, and stand before this" evil" God you told everyone about.
@@orcus9402 OK, done! NIV , and in book of Hebrews in King James Bible...so almost read is front back twice.....so what is it I am supposed to be learning from your reply...? Makes no sense?
@Ice Hockey is Pretty Pretty Good Hanzee said Faceman the definition meaning "A person who is used to present a good public face for an organization" That would mean Hanzee didnt get plastic surgery
The reason why Lorne Malvo did not kill Mr Wrench could be that he had already killed two of the most dear people to him, Mr Numbers and Moses Tripoli (Ohanzee Dent). Since Ohanzee had raised and trained Numbers and Wrench.
I think Goldfarb (the widow who owns her husbands business) is actually Hanzees wife and Varga handled Fargo's money and still does. Lorne may have taken out a shit ton of people from the Fargo Mob, but that doesn't mean some else can't take over after.
@@SLAMMINnJAMMIN247 fourth season will be something like, 2 sindicate leaders in conflict, and one of them is black (mike might be the son). the season will be situated on the 50s, so, if we know that mike is black, from kansas mob, and his age in season 2 is around 40s (i guess), in season four we'll probably see mike on his first days of his criminal life.
Fantastic season only I feel Hanzee being Moses Tripoli was unnecessary. They should have left his arch here. Mr. Numbers and Wrench being hitmen in Season 1 is enough evidence to prove that Hanzee started his own empire.
How many times do I have to explain this? He’s doing this because he’s #1 on the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted List and would otherwise get the death penalty (or at least life in prison without the possibility of parole).
the effect he had was not on the teenage bullies it was on a young Mr. Wrench and Mr. Numbers. Who after dealing with these bullies Hanzee took under his wing. They later became assassins themselves working for him. Those two teenage bullies are more than likely dead I would say. (:
Best series ever, man! Still watcj every episode hoping I've missed something but telling ye this series same universe, wish a could go deeper than just to the balls
“Kill or be killed. That’s the message.”- he says that same line here in s1 when he asks about Sam Hess after he’s killed.. they ask him what they want done to the guy (Malvo+Lester) and he says that exact sentence and than goes back to eating. Too bad Malvo comes to him and kills him and 21 of his guys 😂
@@maxie0669 you 'll be surprised by reality...true my life i have been with both type of killers (army and jail) and this type of situations, only in movies
@@dabome4001 you'll be surprised at how awful Gangsters are in shooting. The Mob was shown from the get go beside Wrench and Numbers being some sort of threat. Even Hanzee lost the plot . Imagine sitting at work one day , knowing you've never been attacked ,yet this one person comes in shooting the living shit out every. You're first reaction wouldn't be let's go kill him , it would be like wtf is going on ? Before getting shot . Also I'm pretty sure he made sure he knows the building plans , in case of any surprises .
After watching this scene 8 times. I think Hanze was a wind talker in Vietnam. He was a decorated vet and would explain why he had connections with ppl in the government. One of the most under appreciated characters.
Trying to imagine Hanzee as the big boss man in season 1 rakes a lot of mental gymnastics, until he starts sucking the brains out of a fish head in the middle of a business meeting It adds up
They have mentioned about turks a lot in fargo. in season one a stupid blackmailer was going to open turkish bath and lorne malvo said that turkish delight is disgusting and now this i wonder why they mentioned Turks this much
I love the background you get on Wrench and Numbers but this was the stupidest way to ham fist this character into one that looks nothing like him, not to mention he wasn't even a boss, nor showed the makings of a varsity athlete.
I know this old but in case anyone reads it, yes Hanzee had surgery. He said he needs a faceman and the other guy says "I'm assuming you need more than a face peel, something structural" meaning changing the structure of his face. Like Michael Jackson completely changed his face shape and colour and everything.
@rudy2fat Jackson changed his facial bone structure and skin colour completely to more closely resemble someone of completely different ethnic background, he even made an active effort to change his voice (making it very high and childlike) which is what they were going for in Fargo I believe based on the dialogue: a completely new person that could never be recognised as a Native American (going by what Hanzee requested). Season 1 takes place around 30 years after season 2 so it stands to reason someone who had a lot of surgery and gained a lot of weight would look very different :) (Edit though in my personal opinion I believe they should have used actors that more closely resembled each other at least in some ways)
@@Tbahama when he wiped the Fargo crime syndicate Hanzee is Moses Trippoli, the boss from S1,he gives the same speech he gave in this video to his subbordonates while they're eating
Yeah, but Malvo killed Hanzee decades after he was past his prime and ate an entire buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hanzee always knew that eventually there would be someone out there to take him out one day.
@@HowardHughes33 what sounds more powerful and successfully to you: the enslaved attack dog for a family of racist fucks (Hanzee of season 2) or the head of the most powerful crime syndicate on the planet who takes shits more powerful and successful than said family (Hanzee of season 1 who’s eventually taken out with an AK-47 or some equally powerful machine gun by Malvo)?
Tomas Dragonetti I think he is malvo after he gets the reconstructive surgery . And as far as age goes he doesn't appear to be just human. He has help of some other entity. I mean he just knows things man. So maybe with some supernatural help? He didn't age much?
I love the show, however I did not really like, that they turned Hanzee into irrelevant, totally different character from Season 1 that died offscreen so easily (face transplant was also very lazy and cheezy) - I know that it's a part of Fargo's awesomeness in a way, but I believe he deserved better.
You can tell the producers never had season 2 in Thier minds as hamzee/Tripoli was shot and killed unceremoniously off camera. Not a death fitting a character you invested a while season watching. Fargo season 2 was good but many holes in that show.
How does this make sense? Season 1 was a different story, and characters die in many ways. Him having an unceremonious death in a season that wasn't even about him says nothing about the writing or the so-called "plot-holes" you're pointing at.
@@HowardHughes33 But he looked nothing like Hanzee, it was just completely forced to make connections between the seasons that don't amount to anything.
