He had 2 things that scared me bad. 1. He has super loud footsteps but can still magically appear on the other side of a door that you are opening. 2. He is walking at you but he is still almost as fast as you are when running. It almost feels inevitable that he will catch up to you.

mr x is a scary monster. The way he can't be stopped, like the terminator. The way he follows you around the police station. The player of the game has to think about how to handle this situation. We think we understand our way to get through the station but then mr x shows up. There is a panic as you have to quickly think of a new plan to make it out of this place alive

The mod using the song is just wonderful. It doesn't downplay the severity of dealing with Mr. X and also just makes it more fun in a way.

When Birkin killed Mr X he didn't regenerate, he actually died then and there. The 2nd run is classed as non Canon. Both main scenarios are their own and the other scenario runs different.

I'm pretty sure the Mr X in Claire's storyline was killed, and that there were 3 total models dropped in Racoon City. I agree 100% about him being a nuisance after the first few encounters. Felt like an annoying sibling more than a monster.

It almost looked like two Mr X were in the explosion at the vid beginning. Weird, must have been a video glitch in the game. The remake was good, but i REALLY wanna see how RE3 is remade. HEll they hsould just remake RE0 and 1 again on modern consoles. ANd veronica, cant forget Code Veronice.

Nice explain, I like resident evil games but never get my hands on re2 but after explain I think I should play that game.

Great coverage on Mr X. It's just a shame how he was used in RE2 RE-RE, not to mention the games Triple A price despite it having less than 10h of actual, unrepeated content. Compared to RE7, which I thought was the new standard for the francise; RE2 fell way short on scares. The name of the entire game on normal and beyond is avoiding regular enemies, Lickers/Dogs and only clearing a route outside a saferoom or inside a puzzle room like the Library. Meaning Mr X chases you at a time you should be comfortable running from threats. You can easily double back between 1st/2nd floors and the east/west wing of RPD, meaning you take him away from your destination and go back, half way you begin walking. He loses you for several minutes or longer. Heck, Lickers don't follow outside spawn room. They often resposition spawn points depending on where you enter/leave making them super easy to avoid. Zombies might follow for a single room but spawns normally keep them in 1 if you leave and return later. Beat both 1st and 2nd runs on normal and half on Hardcore. This H.C run with Claire Mr X couldn't even catch up between me doing the book shelves and running back to use the 2nd piecex triggering Sherrys part.

Wearing fedora and trench coat adds mystery to the character, reminds me of another Capcom character--Q from the Street Fighter:3rd Strike.

I thought this would be a fun fact to share with everyone, though if you played Resident Evil 3 you might remember this. Nearing the end of the game in RE3 you pass though an area before getting to the final room where you battle Nemesis using the prototype rail-gun that is in the room. In that room before you will see several dead T-103s surrounded by several dead US special forces operators. Kind of teasing what must have been an epic battle. This might explain where some of the other T-103s from the helo that dropped Mr. X ended up.

I was pretty shocked back in 98 when he burst through a wall. I thought I had gotten away from him, and no other enemies did that in the game… I was feeling pretty good about myself but that was definitely an OH SHIT moment I’ll never forget

The Tyrant from Damnation is not the same model as the one from RE2 (Mr. X) the Damnation Tyrant model is much bigger and faster than the one we face

I agree to your ending statement, the 1st play through, he was definitely a terrifying thing to deal with! Hearing his foot steps approach before you even saw him had you hiding in a corner lol! However every playthrough afterword hes just a major annoyance and felt he was more troll like than a horror factor

You forgot to mention his lack of genitalia. Umbrella noticed that huge monsterman with manly bits dangling about is not as scary as huge monsterman without manly bits is.
