I agree;it essentially had all the benefits of the progenitor virus but on steroids,AND it didn't simply mutate a host like all other viruses or parasites : it basically replaces ur cells with its own G cells,and as time progresses (assuming the g virus was in its complete state) all ur individual cells u had at birth are replaced with G cells,basically it gives u the power of a xenomroph queen AND the alien from the thing,with added benefit of makin u have a humanoid appearance like the engineers from aliens universe (again assuming Birkin had finished his work on it)

I found some holes in your explanation. The first one is about the fast mutation of William Birkin´s arm + shoulder comepared with the rest of his body. If you watch the cutscene from the original Resident Evil 2 (PS1) were Dr. Birkin gets shooted by the soldiers, you can see the injuries is located around his upper right arm, shoulder and chest. I think, that played a bigger part than where he put the needle in. Second thing. The G-virus didn´t lead to the t-Veronica Virus. The Ashford Twin (Alfred & Alexia) was already experimenting with the t-Veronica Virus back in 1982, 6 year before the G-virus was found in Lisa Trevor.

@@edthoreum7625yes, given its science fiction. the g virus doesnt necessarily infect bodies as much as it utilizes them as hosts, which is why birkin is observably trying to resist the virus’ consciousness with his own and eventually loses. the mutations are responses to trauma that his body is recieving, which can explain the impossible rapid mutations due to life threatening injuries to birkins body that the virus requires. it also explains the behavior of its further mutations growing biomass far out of control and in irregular manners behaving more like a cancer with no viable DNA to reference. thats the whole point of the virus to begin with, to use as a means to heal human bodies.

This is one of those rare channels that, when that silky smooth voice begins going over the days video content you get completely enthralled, almost praying that it'll last for hours. Then after the inevitable end you're left in a new state of shock/denial. How could it be over *so soon,* he *just* told us the videos content. Oh wait, it's been fifteen minutes already? Well dang. The G-Virus is the ultimate virus in the Resident Evil series, it transforms you into a almost immortal monster with very fast healing ability, Birkin quickly lost his mind as he continues to mutate in order to survive, the more damage Birkin took the more unstable he got, he eventually turned into a giant blob chasing Leon, Claire, and Sherry out of the umbrella lab, he died when the train self destructed, this is why those infected with the G-Virus are hard to kill and it's the best virus in the series ✊

Thank you because of your research on this video you have actually giving Annette a redeeming quality. It is implied in the Resident Evil 2 game that Annette was slipping Sherry antiviral medications for the TNG virus in the form of vitamins. Annette ultimate goal was that Kerry wouldn't become one of the monsters but would probably just be killed off however if Sherry survived she would never be infected.

I want to see you cover The Strain by Guiermo Del Toro. It's got a hybrid vampire/zombie plague that's kind of resident evil esque but the mutated creatures are much more graceful. There's also the rivalry of an immortal jewish pawn broker and an immortal SS agent that's the stuff of epic win, and some very plausible monsters plus the nightmarish image of worms crawling into and under people's skin and a bunch of survivors trying to make it through an apocalyptic war with a lot of world war 2 commentary about how it affected and still affects the modern day. Truly art imitates life in this story.

I didnt remember what the G stood for in G-virus. The T stood for Tyrant and that's the name of the boss of RE1 so I remembered that. G-virus Birkin doesnt give me that same link

The og re2 heavily references 80s and 90s movies. Terminator and Alien are two of the biggest influences. The creator of the original re2 was a huge terminator fan. To the point that, he designed Leons looks around John connor, he reimagined scenes from the film,(the semi truck, the stalking tyrant, the giant vat of liquid metal at the end) Claires grenade launcher is the same M79, the harley fatboy look alike in Claire's end credits, theres soo many references to films in the og re2 it is insane. Play it, and keep your eyes peeled :)
