It's weird, and was definitely considered weird by many back in 1993 and if you were a young woman to not just see an older lady checking you out, but to find out it's a man dressed as an older lady doing so. And it was a posh private club where that type of thing was less expected. Her reacting a bit creeped out was understandable.
@EPSGplayer I agree, that was funny that he was using his regular man voice saying that along with telling that woman that he'll pay for her drink in his man voice. He was probably drunk which is why he used his man voice and even if the "Bridges" restaurant scene he got drunk from drinking too much alcohol that he totally forgot he was wearing his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise and returned back to Mr. Lundy's table and even had to cover it up that Mrs. Doubtfire will be the new host of his show.
Dang! You know I've been watching this movie so many times and each time I always find one or two new things either an innuendo or funny line. How did I miss this run-by fruiting haha
@@verkaforever It was funny how he used his man's voice probably only because he got so drunk from drinking a lot of alcohol at that bar that he forgot to use his Mrs. Doubtfire voice. In answer to your question, probably he didn't mean to check that woman out but him getting drunk caused him to say something he didn't mean. It's kind of like at the end of the movie where he drank a lot of alcohol in the "Bridges" restaurant and returned to his boss Jonathan Lundy's table as Mrs. Doubtfire only because he got drunk from all that alcohol that he forgot to change back into his men's clothing.
@@verkaforever He doesn’t want his wife back, he wants to see his children. That was his goal from the beginning. Sure, he probably still harbors some feelings for Miranda (hence his initial jealousy of Stu, which only grew to bitter resentment once Stu was spending more time with his kids than he was), but knows deep down that they’re irreconcilable as a couple.
@@althepenguin Interesting. I also wonder who played the man who was friends with Stu. Or the blonde woman who didn't care much for a man in drag hitting on her, lol.
@@thewildbruce5612 yes. Funny line. Another funny one is when Mrs. Doubtfire is in the kitchen and the boobs catch fire. "First day as a woman and I'm already getting hot flashes."
I love how throughput the whole movie the supposed evil "stepfather" we think we're going to see doesn't materialise at all. Stu is a great man throughout and genuinely loves the kids.
He was never meant to be an evil stepfather, that would have been too cliched. Daniel isn't a clear cut good guy or bad guy, life isn't always black and white.
@@KiaraLionessTM I don’t care that he called Daniel a “loser” it’s not like he trashed him in front of the kids as both Daniel and Miranda did. It was a conversation between himself and a friend
@@KiaraLionessTM he doesn’t know Daniel, he only knows whatever Miranda has told him. And I’m pretty sure she hadn’t been giving him any glowing reviews..

"Isn't this posh" that line never feels to make me laugh hysterically I remember I said that when I was in Florida Disney World with my family we were walking towards the Soren ride and I said isn't this posh my brother and dad laughed hysterically for almost 10 minutes
I can honestly say this is probably my all time favorite movie. Been a huge fan since I was a kid. I've seen this movie probably 50 times or more and I'm still not tired of it. I can quote every single word to this movie! Love it forever! R.I.P Robin Williams 💞💐🍻
@@cesareaugusto9677 in today's world with all the transgenders, transvestites, no one would bat an eye. It's became such a normalcy that it wouldn't bother most people.
To me Miranda was always the villain of the film, at least up to till the end. She wanted to keep the kids as far away from Daniel as much as possible, limiting the time they see him. Rather spending money on a complete stranger to look after the house and them. Not forgetting moving on in a new relationship very quickly and looking at Stu as a sort what as a replacement father. Stu was no way the bad guy in the film, but Miranda was definitely the one who stands out as the villain of the story.
I don’t know that the movie has a “villain”, but Miranda does cause most of the problems. Daniel was irresponsible from the little we see of him pre-separation, but it seems like she did a garbage job of being a partner to him and communicating what she needed from him and instead of working with him, she just dropped him, took the kids, and ran off to her now-successful and good looking ex. Obviously Daniel’s entire Mrs Doubtfire scheme is (as he puts it in this scene) “beyond obsession”, but he’s a desperate father pushed to his limit because he’s been deprived of shared custody. He’s being treated like an abuser simply because his wife didn’t think he was pulling his weight in the family, but waited to convey that to him until the moment she bailed on their marriage. And Stu, from everything we see, is a genuinely good guy that subverts the antagonist boyfriend/step-father role that these kinds of plots typically use. He doesn’t have full information and is getting half the story from Miranda, but honestly does want what’s best for her and the kids.
Miranda was a fed up mom and wife doing the best she could with a demanding job, 2 kids, and a manchild of a husband. Far from a villain. I wouldn't go as far as calling Daniel a villain but he's responsible for most of his own problems in this movie.
@@kysa35351. The judge set the visitation 2. Dude didn't even have his own apartment. 3. He quit his job on a whim. Any responsible parent that puts feelings aside and thinks about their childrens welfare logically would have reservations about this man being responsible enough with his children for any length of time. Seems like lot of people have a hard time putting their rose colored glasses aside and seeing what a loser Daniel truly was
I love this movie since i was a kid.......we used to watch it over and over !!! It makes ya happy and sad at the same time... in a bunch of different ways.. The world lost an awesome guy.
I like how Stu is the bachelor type guy but decided it was time to grow up and actually wanted to be around a woman with kids, not to mention cared about Miranda as well. He calls Daniel a loser, but then again all he has to go on is Miranda's point of view. And I doubt she told him a lot, so yeah. He just wants to be a good guy. That's what makes this film great. There are no villains. Just people living their lives trying to be good people.
@Hector Lopez He didn't want to swim only because that would cause his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise to fall off when getting in the pool. Although I used to think he was jealous from 2:40-2:45 seeing his sad face thinking he wished he could go swimming too but, his sad face was only because that guy Stu was probably going to marry Miranda making Daniel himself the reject.
Maybe Daniel finally came to terms that his marriage to Miranda was over and he needs to get his life together. The only reason he was jealous of Stu is because of the man he is to her and the mature, fun-loving dad he is to his kids. Daniel saw his shortcomings during his time as Mrs. Doubtfire and his own immaturity. To him, Stu is the man the he should've been to Miranda from the beginning.
Fun fact: mrs. Doubtfire make a cameo in Aladdin and the King of Thieves, obviously most likely due to the fact that Robin Williams reprise his role as the genie
I love this movie. I will say, except for the loser statement Pierce Brosnan's character makes he does sound like the kind of guy you would want your kids to have as a stepdad. There are way worse things you could hear from a potential step parent.
Something awfully heartwarming about an old woman chugging beers. My great aunt used to roll with the Sons of Silence back in the 60s and 70s, and still carries a lot of habits. Like carrying a padlock on a hanky and being able to kill a 12pk by herself in one sitting. As much as she drank, I never saw her drunk
Mrs. Doubtfire is the BEST parent Custody MOVIE ever. 😍 Robin Williams WILL be missed for COMEDY in MOVIES. Thanks 😍for making me laugh. Rest in peace Robin Williams🛌🌱🌴🌈🌥️⭐🍻🥂

I love this scene since it's to show that even though Daniel thinks he's still a part of the family he'll never be 100% back in his kid's lives as Mrs Doubtfire
@@katieminns9778 I think everyone knows that. I think it was a more nice attention to details . Titanic was really not brought up in pop culture . But was still heavily talked about in England pre movie
@Damion Luna It's unknown if he's really sweating especially at the end of the movie in the "Bridges" restaurant when he was changing out of his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise, he was wearing his men's clothing underneath over his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise where I would assume he would be sweating with all those layers.
@@afriendofbean lol I guess but like just imagine your entire face being covered with a face mask and your pores not being able to air out like that would suck
My parents were going through a very amicable divorce when this movie came out....so amicable I didn't even it was happening and every time I see this I laugh and cry
As a child I didn’t understand what “by the looks of you that water is so cold” meant. As an adult I burst out laughing when he wrapped it waist with the towel to hide his shrivellage 😂😂😂
If I were Stu in this scene, I wouldn't have called their father a loser, I'm not that kind of guy. I would've worded it more, "What can I say? From how Miranda describes him, I'm sure he's a swell guy that means well, but he seems to have a hard time accepting that he's a man now. He spent too much time being his kids' slightly immature, excessively fun-loving, fair-weathered friend that feeds immature behavior and attitudes while not realizing that his kids don't need him to be their friend. They need him to be their father. While a father should enjoy the company of his kids, to be sure, he also has to be mature enough to guide them into adulthood. Sadly, that's why their marriage fell apart. Miranda was tired of looking less like a mother and more like a warden in her own home due to her ex's behavior and parenting methods. Wish the guy well, though. I hope he acts more mature the next time around."
