I was getting emotional during the Partition scene at the end. The sheer chaos and panic of such a devastating moment in history is too much to think about. Something about fictional superhuman stories woven into human and historical conflicts just draws me in and keeps me there.

My understanding of the partition- a divorce that made really bloody violent because of a lawyer ill advice. Too add salt to injury, the children were raised to hate the other side of family.

Remember when it took Tony almost 15 minutes of screen time to figure out how to use his suit? Why do people think heroes are automatically going to use them flawlessly within 5 minutes of learning about how they work?

15 minutes to figure out how the suit worked that he built every piece and programmed it with his own software A.I. There were no hidden powers because he built it himself. Kamala has no idea how this works until she tries it. Can it do this? no. Can it do that? no. Can it do... Oh wow what is that?!

Kamala had been in Karachi for a few days by the time the Clandestines showed up. The scene with the Clandestines in prison was likely happening the night they were captured. The show clearly went slightly back in time to show their breakout before they showed up in Karachi. Also Kamala used her powers on multiple occasions during the chase scene. She was running away, so she wasn’t using them offensively but she definitely used them.

I continue to really enjoy this show. I really liked this episode. I like that not only did we get a little bit more about Kamala's powers and the superhero stuff, but also more family development, since her entire family has been so wonderful to watch so far.

This episode I really enjoy it , mainly of Kamala traveling back home with her the family that’s how I feel when I travel with my mom to Nigeria for the first time everything she felt exactly the same with me.

She didn't use her powers more during the chase action sequence--though she did actually use them quite a bit, but involving the forms of transport mostly so easy to forget--because other than the brief training with Bruno and using them a bit in the Red Daggers secret lair, she's only using her powers reactively, on a I-need-to-do-something-NOW kind of basis. But considering that it's still allreactive, she's adapting/learning QUICKLY, kind of making things up on the fly and even surprising HERSELF with what she can do. When she's more like planning her superhero moves, she's more hesitant and less sure of herself, so it doesn't always go well.

Toffees: Sana (aka Nani) said she bought them for Muneeba (Kamala's mother). You can think of the cans of stale toffee as the "small hulk" costume, a gesture of love that was rejected. Muneeba never ate the toffees, so they have piled up and are now stale. By eating them, Muneeba is "eating crow", since she has hostility towards her mother, but the act acknowledges her mother's gesture of love. Eating them even though the toffees have gone stale, so much so that Kamala asks how her mother can eat them, and Muneeba says, "strong teeth".

Kamala's annoyance with her cousins calling her an ABCD is pretty relatable to any person from an immigrant family. It's a very annoying type of term. Man though, that older Red Dagger was a badass.

All the comic stuff is great, but gotta give some respect for Noni. The actresses' performance is wonderful and feels so realistic (especially the toffee boxes).

I'm not familiar with the Partition at all, but I love how Marvel is willing to touch on real world events that happened in human history that many people don't even know about. We didn't cover that while I was in high school, but I bet there's lots of things in history that don't get included in the textbooks we have to read and study.

Yeah, in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh the Partition seems to be about a big a part of their history as the Civil War was in the US. We learn all about that, but I don't remember ever hearing about Partition.

I have this hypothesis: Kamala has to be the one to save her grandmother that day. Since Aisha and the others are not able to use the power of the bangle, so Aisha couldn't have been the oneto make the trail of stars. From the moment the found the bangle and the partition there were a few years. I think during that time Aisha got married and had her daughter, so she changed her mind about opening the veil and kept the bangle from the others. Maybe they killed her that day in the train station. It never made sense to me that Sana (Nani) had the bangle if Aisha disappeared while she was wearing it and using it for the trail of stars, it would have been lost with her.

I have a THEORY - Kamala time travelled to 1947 ( during partition time ) . Kamala ends up being saving her nani and help her to reach the train . It's not Aisha or someone else who saved NANI

@The Movie Couple, This show just tied itself to Shang-Chi or more specifically Wenwu. Najma is looking for Noor. Wenwu was looking for Ta Lo. Both were looking for parallel worlds with power, both were in possession of enchanted weapons and are long lived people too. Kamala, like Shang-Chi, has ties to a parallel world and our world--can't be a coincidence, right? Kamala saw a bunch of shadowy figures when she put the bangle on and they saw her, and that's how Najma found her. This episode speaks of the Djinn (who they explained could be used to define Thor) as people looking to invade our world. Later this year or early next year we're getting Secret Invasion. I think this is building to that. It likely started in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier with the Power Broker, a person not seen, but alleged to be Sharon Carter, who some how walks off a gun shot wound to the gut--she can't be human, right? There's also that severed Kree arm on the ground in the temple to discuss. Are the Kree the basis for Indian gods and our concept of Djinn?

I know many of us want Kamala to be Inhuman but the Clandestine (actually 'ClanDestine') are a different group in Marvel comics. They are the superhuman long-lived children of a human (Adam Destine) and a djinn (Elalyth). It seems they are using the name in this series to cover all full djinn and their part human descendants rather than a specific family but they are keeping the djinn connection.

i disagree. i think aisha will be revealed to have either made it back to Noor or she had been murdered.. considering the whole reason we even talk ab aisha is regarding Nani following the trail of stars but with Kamala presumably time traveling back to around 1947 or so during the partition.. kamala will be tasked with having to save her own Nani.

Hopefully the last two episodes are more plot heavy. I've loved the world building and culture building they've put into the show, but it's almost come at the expense of a driving plot that you can see where it's headed.

The CIA has black sites all over the world. SHIELD's prison was in the middle of the north Atlantic Ocean, I think. So for all we know, the DODC's super prison could be in India or the Indian Ocean or something. So maybe they didn't have far to travel. And remember it only took them ONE NIGHT to go from England (Kamran's accent) to Jersey after they sensed the Noor powers being used at Avengercon, since Kamran had "transferred" to her school that next morning. So maybe the Clandestines have certain traveling powers.

This is honestly one of the best comic book tv shows ever made! Everything from the acting, the writing, the directing, even the fight choreography is awesome as hell. And I absolutely hate that every school I ever went to only taught “world history” that had to do with America or the west. I wish they taught us about partition and how horrible it was.

I mean, honestly, this had a LOT to do with the West. We just like to focus on certain things and ignore the ones we’d rather not know about. I offended a teacher once by saying that history was as much about hiding as revealing stuff. How much time did your schools spend on Reconstruction? Not much, I’d guess. It’s true the North won the war. They didn’t win the aftermath, though. The south practiced slavery by another name until the military finally told them they couldn’t just make all the black men felons for the free labor. We needed them to fight wars too.
