Whether you appreciate her humor or not, just know that she began doing stand up at the suggestion by a vocational counselor (or some other social/medical training professional). She'd never had any notion of sharing her life experiences as story telling nor comedy. She's lived a life that would probably break other people, but she's not only survived it- she's taken it by the horns and made it work for her. She is a self-made comedian and she works hard at her comedy career. So, whether you like her comedy or not, she'll just keep working along and not give 2 bits that you don't like her, because she genuinely does her best for those that do.
