Currently installed on my 17 Gt manual, tried multiple different ways and my car doesn’t like to run with it plugged in, idles real rough then wants to stall out… led on the Msd box lights up. Any ideas? Thanks.
Have you tried swapping the two main connectors? It’s been so long I want to say what I did was went back over the coil connectors and made sure they were all connected the right way and solid.
I have a 2007 mustang gt and my 2 step would do the same, it would fly right off the set rpm and from what I’ve noticed is that I might have some bad ignition coils, do you think this could be the reason for my 2 step to be malfunctioning
It could be possible but if the car runs fine without 2 step I’d be willing to bet it’s not an issue. You could always test it out with some known good coils if you have another set or some extras.
@@NWIPerformance yes they’re aftermarket, I was reading on the reviews and apparently they tend to fail early at like 4-6 months of usage and randomly they would give me random misfire codes, so it might be my coils getting too hot according to a friend
@@Axel.3v yeah there’s a good chance that’s the culprit. I know there are always issues reported with aftermarket coils like the Accel or MSD ones. It’s always good to stick with oem. They are surprisingly efficient even at higher hp levels.
I was only seeing 2lbs of boost with the two step. From my understanding to raise the boost I’d have to adjust the tune on the car but I never got that far into it.
