I built an adjustable 2-step knob and mounted it right in the car. It hardly cost anything to make. I always wondered why these 2-step kits don't come with them.

So with this set up how would you set up nitrous to come on after the 2 step comes off?

There are multiple ways you could configure it with nitrous mostly depending on the type of nitrous controller you use.

At first i ordered a 3 pin switch but it wasnt working, so i went to Autozone and bought a 2 pin switch one side for the blue wire and the other one you have to run an extra negative wire to it. I had some 20 gauge wire laying around and i just grabbed the negative side to run into the switch.

It got here last Friday and i finished it within like 30 minutes but couldnt get it to work, so i finished it Saturday morning. Only thing i havent done is drill the hole to mount the switch

Its a 2016. The newer cars have 2step built in.

@@MurphysLawGarage mine is just a base model. Does have a neutral rev control it not for starting line at the track. I want to use the 2 step as a sort of transbrake. Set it at 2k and when I stage push a button and floor it. Don’t want the transbrake option from Lund only cuz of the snap on non loaded parts. At least everything will have pressure on them like the axles and driveshaft with the 2 step

You’d have to contact MSD. Im sure they make a module even for the newer cars.

@@donmauzy714 I was able to hook the 2 step up. Had to modify it just alittle. Put a micro switch on the break pedal. Only thing about the transbrake I’m scared of the drive line not being under tension and breaking everything

We have a switch to arm the system and then it activates when the brake pedal is pressed and you throttle up. It disengages when you let go of the brake pedal. Really, once its armed you dont even have to think about it.

Unfortunately we dont have the S550 anymore and MSD doesn’t yet support my S650 so I can’t. We’d love to otherwise.

@@MurphysLawGarage Will the adaptation be very difficult? I haven't decided to buy it because I don't have the slightest idea how to install that button 😢. All the info is for manual transmission and the automitc is the one who needs more that launch control

@user-gp8qs8ky6b its not difficult at all. It will make sense when you read the instructions and look at the wiring diagram. The process is the same except you grab the brake switch instead of the clutch.

How does it work when you downshift tho? Won’t it limit your rpm when u try to downshift and rev match

You’d have to be on the brakes or fully on the clutch at the same time as your revving. Even if you can somehow manage that, we wired a switch inline to disable it.

The car has been sold quite a while ago, but it's just a switch that opens the circuit for signal from the brake pedal so you can choose if it engages.
