Got a pair of these yesterday and followed your video on changing the CAM and it went perfectly, thanks for sharing.

I'm just a old USN rotor Head. Thinking about getting into MSFS. Currently in DCS. 1st I would like to say is thank you for your tutorials and I wish you well on your journey. May it be full of love and laughter and many blessings. The thing I can't understand is you wanting to put a harder spring into a anti-torque which would put more pressure on the dampener. I know Helo pilots have their own perspective on what they wish that they could control. Being one of my last helos that I flew from 89 to 96 which were several, but my favorite was a Sea dragon. When you push your anti-torque normally is to the left first for Take off a normal Helo pilot. Would want it to maintain for its hover. Everything being fly by wire these days , coupled with backup rods and cables. When you push your anti-torque down in whichever correction or flight preference, it should stay as where you left it. On a real heelo when on fire up you'll see if maintenance had pushed it down or something like that. The newer ones of today will always come back to center. Back in my time that was not the case. So as the Helo warmed up, if nobody touched it, the torque pedal would continue to be in its same position and as it warmed up it would move in its proper neutral until warm up has been completed. For jet pilots that would be a ramp up. I just don't understand why you would put a heavier spring which would require much more Force than torque down on the dampener. My perspective only I have WW, and VPC. I got the Apache collective and grip Aunt. I have to have that anti-torque. It will be soon OTW for Father's Day for me. If you left the initial spring in it. With a simple couple turns to the right would have given you a little more tension or feedback. I'm just thinking out loud. There's really no wrong unless you don't dampen it then why have it. When you can get a cheap rudder control and try to fly a Hilo that way. Which is very difficult I can contest to that. Vpc seems to be on line with all of my goals right now. Thank you for your tutorial and the how to and what for. Wish you the best. Care. Take care 🕊️

Also standard anti torque controls mounted a real Hilo as you can see in the model that you're flying. It is at a 45 to 60° angle of operations. A single bar setup would have tread on it so your boots would not slide off. The new mic model of the Blackhawk. They're a actually 90° up and down and they're squatted together like ball busters. I thought that was an odd, odd way to cramp somebody's feet into the anti-tort control in a real Helo. I wish they would come out with a notar. Friend of mine has one. They are awesome. After about 70 mph you can let go and the rudder control real rudder control a no-tar has will take over and keep you on your pre-flight. Awesome Hilo. Definitely will be getting me a pair of the anti torq from VPC 🥳🎉❤️‍🔥

I keep complaining to a friend who lives across the ocean and who is a fixed wing airline pilot but a lover of Helicopters in simulators. He is a pro with helicopters and every time I report to him how miserable my helicopter flying is, whereas his precise chopper flying makes it seem so easy, he keeps telling me that I need the right controllers... Now I know what he meant

I bought a pair of these when they first came out and I absolutely recommend them. I even use them for fixed wing flying since you can assign toe brake control somewhere else in your setup.

These pedals are a must if you want to fly helicopters. They're design is by far better than any other pedal out there for helicopters. Yes Virpil products are pricey but you get what you pay for and Virpil has amazing customer support. I've had other products that were almost as pricey but none have come close to the build quality and the quality of the components used in the construction of their products.

You may have touched on this but I didn't catch it. I just wanted to mention that adjusting the pedals outwards will increase the throw. So even if you don't feel the need to have them far apart from a comfort perspective, it may be worth to just adjust them as far as they will go to make sure you have the maximum throw possible.

How would these feel sitting in an office chair?

I ordered these last night as my first set of rudder pedals for DCS World (MIG 15, MIG 21, MI 24P, Gazelle), F5E, Mirage F1CE and Star Citizen. I know that people recommend toe brakes for Star Citizen , but I don't have a sim pit I think sometimes more is less . I want accurate control over 1 axis, and I don't want them to slide on the floor. I think I will love them once I get them. They are on backorder. PS The main reason I ordered rudder pedals because a doctor told me that twist action is terrible for the wrist.

curious... see it pivot, up and down, in a rocking motion... vs if you think about a real helicopter it's more forward and backwards... ? G

I wouldn't be able to get used to these. I wouldn't be able to get used to that up/down movement of the pedals. The pedals should move forward and backwards, much like normal rudder pedals. Also, being anti-torque pedals has nothing to do with the "up and down" movement of the pedals as stated in the video. It looks like they did really well on the sensitivity but the direction of travel is a no-go for me.

It’s not my flying, its just my anti torque peddles suck.
