Apparently all the debt that's everyone owes each other, there's not even enough resources on Earth to pay it back. Isn't that both hilarious and insane? It's just a made thing between all of us that we agree to.
The national debt isn’t hard to understand… the gov makes money via taxing the public. If gov spends more than they make in taxes, debt increases. The reason we can be in so much debt is exactly the same as someone holding a huge personal credit card debt, as long as you make the interest payments it’s fine. Doesn’t mean it’s smart necessarily.
You can't see it because what they (media and most economist) tell u about it, is bullshit. Learn about MMT if you wanna know how money and debt work. The deficit myth is a great book. 60 years of tax cuts for corporations and the rich are why were in debt. Been in debt since WW2 with every predident presiding over deficit spending until Bill Clinton who had surplus and started paying down the debt but that didnt last.
