I'm glad he didn't get to SNL, that garbage would have ruined him and swallowed him up into the hollywood cult. He's out here bringing us dawgs together.
He could’ve been yet another forgettable, nameless face in the SNL carousel but nah fuck that noise, the young bull is blazing his own trail to greatness
Yeah, Shane wanted to do sketch comedy. Everyone around him kept fucking around saying stupid shit, while him and lorne were pissed. It was all a management decision, funnily enough, just like norm, some pissed off paperpusher made the decision on skewed evidence. And the comics and audience have to suffer.
“Nobody has done this. Nobody has gone from not famous, to famous for being a racist only. Me and the cops in Ferguson have the same track record.” Top tier joke right there.
whatchu mean? “Let it happen” That’s what i see. Also im happy he kept with it. Would’ve been a shame if he quit… tho if he did, we wouldn’t know. meh?
the fact that he handled it the way he did with no team coaching him, in fact while everyone was telling him NOT to handle it that way is insane to me. unbelievable poise and toughness. to not crumble and do whatever it takes to hold onto the spotlight and SNL. to not lash out, to not play it up to the right, his composure and ethics are incredible. dude is rock solid.
It's so funny listening to this now. RU-vid special over 20 million views, podcast blew up, over a dozen Rogan appearances, Netflix special (easily special of the year imo), hosted SNL, and Tires premiering on Netflix. The Dawgs are blessed.
As someone who has only really dived into the Gilly deep cuts in the last year or so, I love the community of fans, no gatekeepers allowed. All just alpha kings happy to welcome a fellow king to the crew
This is true. Norm is dead. He was like the three best in one. Patton got woke, Burr got lame, Chappelle got boxed in by ladyboys, Cumia turned into david duke.
Honestly the slaughtering they gave him shows that they have no credibility left at this point no good NFL team would trade a young qb away ar this point in his career
@@booognish well it worked out for us, we got a little youtube show, Shane however will never work in the mainstream for the rest of his life as he'll always be 'racist comic gets hired for so and so"
At first I was like “oh, he just mixed that sentence up by mistake” but now that I think about it more, i would not be surprised at all if the shaman somehow showered in his car on the way to record the pod
Props to Shane for staying a funny comedian and not becoming some type of political grifter like Crowder. The dude didn't let woke morons turn him into a shitty person.
You’re that deluded to think you’re not only the first person to think of this, but to think you’re in a position for 5% of anything besides 5% of a Puerto Rican’s pubes
I guarantee Judd Apatow laughed when he heard what Shane said. It might not have been around anyone else but when he got alone he cartoanly did. No way the man responsible for Old school, Wedding Crashers and the Hangover didn’t find that funny.
@@BlyGuyyeah I agree with his general hypothesis but damn, fired off a whole blast of titles and didn't even skim a single Apatow flick lol. Not even one he produced
Shane,Tim Dillon and Mark Normand are my top three currently doing it.The stand-up is excellent. But also all three can be hilarious and or super deep on podcasts.
@@oliverattwell8013 just got into them both and they are great! If the others are the Beatles and Stones then Hyde and Mullen are the Kinks and the Faces.
That’s why I love Shane he makes fun of himself saying “I didn’t mean to hurt anybody “ with his lip quivering. He didn’t even have to admit that. But he knows how damn funny it is. Takes balls to always go for the funny even when you’re the punchline
I just watched a clip before talking about Matt getting his new girlfriend, who became his wife and mother of his children. While Shane had only spent a week in New York, to this clip a year later where all of this happened to him after being in New York for a year and Matt having kids. Now in 2024 Shane is the biggest comedian right now and Matt just came out with his own Special. What a crazy turn of events for these guys in like 4 years, and They deserve every bit of their success. I hope one day I can earn something like this.
Thank god Shane is not on SNL. However, he’s so undeniably funny, he could have changed the course of that god forsaken show. Would be one of the best cast members ever. Anybody that remotely turned their backs on him in that moment is an enemy. Never forget.
How many comedians do their best work on snl? If Shane really wanted that gig I feel awful for him but, I'm glad he can continue to expand the boundaries of humor
The sheer lack of self awareness from these people try to go around pretending to be thought and speech police is hilarious. It’s the ultimate strike me down and I’ll become more powerful moment lol
I started listening to MSSP shortly after the firing. It's been awesome seeing them rise to crush the theater kids. Now the same wieners that were upset about Chapelle going on SNL are going to cry about Shane, and no one will care. The worm has turned.
I honestly became a fan when i heard he got canceled. I was like, my people have arrived! The best part is that the guy who canceled him got exposed for being a weirdo
I was one of the people that just heard a white dude "said an Asian racist slur" and lost his SNL position ... and I left it at that. I had NEVER even seen the clip. I just recently watched the clip and everyone at SNL should be ashamed of themselves for not speaking out. It was OBVIOUS what he was doing. Obvious to slightly intelligent people. I was outraged and disgusted at how SNL handled it. I'm glad SNL is dying. I hope nothing but the best for Shane. - An Asian
I would have never heard of MSSP if they hadn't done the racist story thing. I donate to the patreon just because theater kids are losers - they were in high-school and still are.
