MSX Engine : Super Star Soldier & Space Manbow (PC Engine/MSX) 

Love this series. So many of engine and msx games I’ve never looked into.

Two stunning shmups on two different systems and I love my shmups. Quality in both games I'll have to emulate and play.

Two great shoot 'em ups there. Super Star Soldier is nicely presented and the weapons work well. Space Manbow is a real technical showcase for MSX, even if those vertical sections do prove a little tricky at times.

Both games are outstanding. Pure shmup perfection.

I played Space Manbow on the Japanese Wii U virtual console. Lots of fun.

Space Manbow certainly pushed the MSX2 about as far as it could! I believe that if you are lucky enough to own a plus model, the scrolling is also silky smooth.

For me, it's the earlier period, of _the original_ Star Soldier, and the even earlier Star Force, that's now worth paying attention to, in retrospect.
