I’m putting in an order tomorrow on a brand new mt10. You think I should get the yoshi from factory? Otherwise I’ll end up buying an akrapovic system down the road which costs way more. Just feel like if I spend 14k on a mt10 and can’t hear the cross plane song I’ll regret it. Running stock exhaust on my Zx6r and it sounds like booty

@@sosmotorcycles the Yoshi Alpha is the dogs on decat. Crossplane never sounded so good. If it was me. I'd get the Yoshi from factory mate. My baffles were out before I bought the bike, so I'm not sure what it sounds like with them in. Possibly just the same only a little quieter.

I actually agree with you in terms of the crossplane sound, it sounds good but im definitely not as much of a fanboy as others. And it is really loud, I already installed a baffle to quiet it down. One problem though is the slip on is really short and not designed for a decat which means with baffle in, I will need to repack the exhaust more often due to extra heat :(

@@TURBOTWINKIE Understood. I was born and raised in the 80's. I started to gain a keen interest in sportbikes in the late-90's and early 2000's, around about the time I entered college for mechanical engineering. In those days, exhaust systems didn't have a catalyzer and usually were simple oval or round shapes, usually long. They were simple, much less costly to manufacture, had elegant materials, nice rolled edges, produced DEEP tuned sounds without being obnoxious. It's nearly impossible to find exhaust manufacturers these days that do anything near what used to be done. Lots of brands went away. Now you could buy a new motorcycle for the cost of replacing a full system on some Ducati and Aprilia bikes. And while tuning an engine is less daunting without carburetors, it also requires high tech shops and equipment to get them dialed in with a given modification list. Also because of 2 to 3 times stricter emissions laws, new motorcycles are generally worse functionally than they ever were 15-20 years ago. And from my own perspective, many motorcycles also look much worse than they did in the early 2000's. Technology has obviously increased exponentially, but styling in a lot of cases is ugly/creasy/pointy/flimsy and much less practical than ever. Take modern tech and put it into a early 2000's style bike. That would be ideal.
