Are you going to squid out and go ramping on the DVP. Lol. I'm looking at grabbing the 900 tracer gt for the longer day trips and camping. I like cruise and heated grips as I ride 11 months of the year. Have fun! Be safe
@@TURBOTWINKIE I know the feel. I live in Northern Ontario. The city hires the cheapest road crews and the cheapest asphalt. Any new roads or sections they redo are toast after one winter. They just don't get it. Cheap roads don't last. Government robs us through income tax and gives us nothing in return. Can we just have our damn roads and healthcare? that we pay for...?
Never tried the MT10?? Well.. notice how quick he's changing gears @4:30 You will NEVER forget that first pull.. I tested the 2022 for the first time a year ago. Set in B-mode, I just twisted the throttle gently. I was used to drive my cbr600rr, so when I got to a straight I turned full throttle and the bike answered immediately lifting the front and accelerated the fastest I've ever felt. Thats when I was shocked, a little bit afraid, and extremely excited all the while my vision went lightspeed and blurry. the longest 2 seconds on a bike. I struggled a bit to get off the throttle because I had to hold on. totally unexpected. I geuss Madonna makes sense... I think its possible to feel like a virgin again...
I owned an Fz6r, although it was a great bike, it's VERY slow compared to my last bike the Tuono 1000r and my current bike, the z900. The fz6r is not comparable with 1000s at all... Fun fact too, I learned it after I bought my first bike, the fz6r: the fz6 (naked) has like 20 more hp than the fz6r (fairings version). The fz6 had 98hp and our little fz6r has like 79hp if I'm not mistaken!
Good thing you mention the steering stabilizer, didn't expect that when I got mine also, but its really a big plus on high speed specially on this very agile bike.
Had one of the first MT10'S to arrive in England nearly 4 years ago. Such a good bike I've still got it, fast and thirsty describes it well but I do lots of touring on mine and it's been super reliable over the 24,000 miles I've done.
I had a MT09 for a couple of years and sold it for a MT10. Excellent decision! The MT10 has monster power but also handles so well it inspires confidence. There is an electronically controlled steering damper which helps to keep the bike stable during those long wheelies it loves to do!
@@dmac7660 I personally haven't tried an 09 or a 10 but I don't have to to know how good they are especially the 10. Have you had any problems with the 09 in those 3 years you've owned the bike?
@@luismariano8701 I had it for two years, the only problem I dove into was check engine light after a while when I changed the exhaust system to a black widow 230 endcan. Apperently short systems CAN "melt" the o2 sensor but it was a easy fix by replacing it and do a remapp it. To get rid of the extra popps. But I lfet some because I luv dem bangs n pops!
I have the same color but with the touring kit on it :) Power is addictive as hell :P Yeah it consumes fuel like there is no tomorrow but it can turn every little drop of fuel into a friggin large grin on your face :) Have fun, enjoy this lovely beast!
TURBO TWINKIE yeah got in figured out. Turns out the ground they had in the instructions wasn’t actually a ground. I’m at nearly 30k miles after less than 2 years. So not too too long.
Nice bike man! I am wanting an MT-10 myself! I rode one and fell in love with the sound and how it rides. Overall more fun to ride than my GSXR 1000 on the street.
You went from 55 mpg (5.1L/100km) to 32 mpg (8.8L/100km). Enjoy!! Actually it's interesting to see how confident riders are exploiting a smaller engine. They move up to a big engine, and they become so reserved, so held back, their riding advancement gets slowed up a lot.
I knew what I was signing up for lol, after riding it now for a while now I'm super comfortable with this thing now. But I can imagine how a bigger bike can reduce the confidence of some riders :)
I bought a GSXR1000K2 brand new. Had a similar reaction. I had ridden a bunch of 1100 type bikes before that, but around 2000, the Thunder Ace and the stuff that came after it was a LOT more powerful and responsive than the bikes before... Fuel injection for one thing....
I thought we had bad roads in Romania, man I was wrong. What the hell is with all those potholes in the road ?! PS : I remember my first ride with my Kawa Z1000, totally different league than a Z750 that I previously owned. I want to get a Tuono 1100 this year, fingers crossed. :P
I live in Scotland. Our roads were made by drunk romans and then slightly upgraded by drunk scotsmen over the years and they are better than your roads...
@@TURBOTWINKIE you'll be very glad you did, you can actually use all the modes. Best thing I can tell you is beware though, it will be so much easier to go fast on that you can very easily misjudge a situation. Ride at 85% until you get a few tanks through it.
I've had my MT-07 for almost 4 years now and I'm bored of it. I'm trying to decide if I want the MT-09 or MT-10 next. I can't decide which bike sounds best or how much power/weight I want.
I had a XSR900 then changed to a MT10, the Yamaha dealer described it best. With the MT10 over the XSR900 (MT09) ‘you get 10% more speed for 30% more cost’. Don’t get me wrong i love my MT10 but test ride both, you pay a lot for that little bit of extra.
I thought you were going to be a typical annoying motovlogger but looks like I an sold on this bike I'm coming from an FZ09 and Kawasaki Ninja ZX14 but i always liked the new R1 sound but not the aggressive track ergonomics.
Dude get this, its a crazy iron cage for MT-10 see the test here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TgR5TLDPvZM.html - i installed it on my 2020 MT-10 and it saved my bike plenty of times by now.
Takes 160bhp naked bike on highway and pins it...Yes lots of wind LOL, I did the same with the BMW S1000R. A year of my head being buffered by the wind and my arms longer than when I started I now have a BMW S1000XR
Hi bro your channel popped out in my own youtube channel than i realized we were vlogging the same motorcycle the MT10 and i also vlogged about its cruise control keep it up bro! And yes our bike willies in 4th gear but I extended my wheelbase by adding 2 chainlinks.
I went from the 07 to the 09, but I test rode the 10 before I decided on the 09. The 10 definitely feels more stable and has a bit more power, but insurance was crazy compared to the 09. Unless you’re doing 120-130+ mph every day the mt09 has more than enough power.
I am trading in mine. Not a bad bike by any means. Just hard to use all that power without braking the speed limit all the time. So you are just using 60% of the bike all the time
Congrats man! Amazing bike. Quick question - do you off record recommend any GoPro mounts for a Shark (Vision-R series2) helmet please? I'd be willing to take a gamble on a similar shape! Thanks!
To be honest I would not risk it, we once tried placing Shoei rf1200 mount and an Arai. At first its seemed fine but after couple of days it started peeling off because there was very little contact between adhesive and the helmet :)
It really depends on your license, experience and how long you've been insured for. It can be anywhere from 150-300 a month for full coverage (just an estimate). I'd call up desjardins they have pretty good rates for bikes :)
Ive just got the MT-07 (Fz-07 here) , i did a big jump because ive owned a Bajaj Dominar 400, and i was wondering if you guys who already owned a MT-07 could tell me if these bikes often run hot, or give me some advice, cause im very "green" on big CC bikes yet.
This is going to be me! I am getting my first MT-10 very soon! It will be arriving at the dealership hopefully by the weekend! Thank you for uploading this! I am going to use caution while riding mine and am already going to be mindful of the power thanks to your video!
If I had to guess I'd say the mirrors are mounted backwards. I think they'd be usable if you put the right on the left and visa versa. As if you'd want your mirrors sticking out PAST your bar ends! That's madness.
Welcome to the Mt10 family! Word of warning, get some headlight and radiator protectors ASAP! It's a know issue where the headlights cracks from bugs and stones. Same with the radiator as it's such a big area! You need a mortgage for the fuel, I generally get 100 miles to 14 litres but I do test the bikes limits here and there. When you take traction off and put it either in mode 1 or mode b (the B is for older models) the front wheel gets scared of the tarmac..... 100mph power wheelies are on a next level 🤣🤣🤣 You'll love her, best bike I've ever ridden and has so much character!
Thanks for the tips, Ill try to get all the protection asap. I only ride it in mode 1 now way more responsive than other modes, however I still feel a little bit of lag when I initially get on the throttle. Not sure if its the new exhaust, or they come like that out factory. Ill need to get it flashed and see if that can get fixed. People say flashing this bike makes it way better :)
@@TURBOTWINKIE Get an ECU re-flash from 2WheelDynoWorks. Best map out there. It will get rid of that lag plus smooth out the power curve. Love my MT-10. Bike has ridiculous power for how nimble it actually is. Front wheel comes up all the time without trying.
Is it an automatic or something? It looked like it was switching gears with his hand off the clutch. Just wondering because this determines if I get one.
Only thing I don't like about the mt 10 is that it is a r1 engine yet doesn't sound as good as a r1 stock for stock obviously with a exhaust yeah big difference over all big congrats getting my mt 07 within the month
most of us miss riding, man. [some disregard the law.] but a pandemic is no joke. hopefully when the quarantines get lifted we can go out again without worrying about catching something that can make us die of suffocation. that's not a pretty way to go.
9:30. I had that moment on my vmax... I used to want the mt10, but I figured I would go full send and get the V. I opened the throttle on my first day riding it to work, and like my 1st time on highway... it pulled so hard on acceleration I had to hold on for dear life, causing a momentary whiskey throttle for 2 seconds... which is bloody long as u end up doing 109mph by 'mistake'. I made the same sound u made... makes me smile. I still love the mt10.... that's why I'm watching! Cheers.
