Mt Barney - Logans Ridge Recon Mission to 892m elevation (with FATMAP and Relive 3D map) 

A bit of a coincidence. Cool. I'm wondering if the track is more difficult and dangerous after where I turned around at 892m. A friend and I are looking at doing it this Saturday, to the summit, but we are a little nervous. Any info you can share would be great. Perhaps you could message me in Facebook Messenger if you don't mind.

Hi Dallas, look up a RU-vid channel called Bush Sights. This guy is an expert on the Mt Barney Terrain and he also uses 4K drone footage. His videos are awesome and will give you a very good idea of the Logan’s Ridge ascent.

@iankerrphotographs thanks. Tofu also pointed me to Bush Sights. I had watched some of his videos already and have been watching them again since Tofu pointed me to one.

You were on the right track once you reached the chock stone. Most important advice I can give from this point is “stay on the ridge”. Don’t deviate or try and traverse left or right if an obstacle looks too difficult as it will then become harder and harder to get back where you were. Best of luck for Saturday 👍
