I've been a fan of your always excellent deckbuilding and videos for a long time. This is a special one. Infinitely reanimating a shapeshifter imitating an legendary enchantment until you and your opponent are milled out is just ... chef's kiss.

Yeah I enjoyed rolling around in my head what it means for Moritte to copy a Saga. I guess the elves are gathered around, starting to tell their story, but instead of drawing in more elves to listen, they have the bad luck of pulling in a strange frost spirit that only looks like an elf, which then - and this is where it gets weird - merges with the psyche of the gathered elves to BECOME THE STORY ITSELF, which once again magically reaches out to more "elves" but instead attracts an identical spirit, which banishes the first one, but then becomes yet another story lodged in the collective elfmind, which pulls in the first spirit all over again, and the cycle of competing spirits continues while the elves are caught in a horrific haze of never ending repetition of the same tale, until all minds in the vicinity are fried completely.

Just got as far as the combo idea and this... is... GENIUS. Did you spot that interaction yourself? The fact that you mill *both* players out but they lose first... Simply devilish. I love it. Lvd sounds like such a nice chap but this is unmistakable proof he's chaotic neutral.

This video inspired me to take a closer look at Moritte. I ended up making a similar infinite mill combo with Moritte, Gyruda, and Orah (I haven't collected Harald's saga yet). Thanks for the inspiration!

I asked BenS what he thinks about LegenVD. He watches some of his streams and could imagine to cooperate with LegenVD, but there is nothing planed on such thing. This leads me to the question: LegenVD would you like to cooperate with him? You both are for example brillant at drafts, so I would love to see a cooperation.

This deck seems very cool. Would it be an idea to have a couple of copies of the dimir reanimator tapland and 1 Thassa's oracle so if you have the loop but no Sage of Mysteries you can win in your next upkeep by bringing back the oracle?

If it weren't for those rare lands, this deck could easily fit into the budget brews category you do for CFB. Too bad you aren't posting daily but I guess such quality brews need some thought. Just take your time and keep rocking !

Play Best of 3 instead, there is no Trickery in Best of 3 Ladder. I agree it is annoying though.

@@jerodast any spells that reveal your opponent's hand and allow you to remove Trickery from it, like duress. Or counter spells (blue decks). Tibalt decks usually mulligan until they have the combo and if you counter it or remove it they're absolutely done.

I tried this and something weird happened... I got the combo off and milled my opponent's deck completely, my deck was completely milled too. Then (still on my turn) I stopped the combo and I instantly lost.. His only cards on the battlefield were 2x merfolk secretkeeper and 1x gargoyle vantress. Can someone explain why I lost the game??

Elspeth's Nightmare should be decent and still works well with the rest of the deck. I would advise against oversideboarding and hope they don't have graveyard hate.

i think a realy huge part is how much you get into it. if you know all the cards it is prob. way easier ^^ My decks(u cant even call them deck xD) are simple to but i also have to read alot of card in enemy decks even if i have seen them before.

I'm not a fan of infinite loop combos, especially in Arena since they're so boring to watch. I appreciate the deck idea, but once I watched the first game that was enough. It's just a personal preference, however, as I tend to like more tool boxy decks that can win in multiple ways. Thanks, Legend!

you get matched by a deck power algorithm based on how common your cards are in the current meta decks. Since no one plays these cards he got a super low power rating

I like that Sage is both an enabler and wincondition for just one mana. A good combo build will always try to dedicate as few cards as possible to its finishers.

So when you have no more cards to mill. Mill does not kill you? That’s weird but I guess it’s the “draw” that makes you lose.

Indeed! Same reason you don't lose when you have Underrealm Lich in play with an empty library. It replaces your draw step with a different action, so you never really draw to lose the game.

Use Thassas Oracle as well, you can mill yourself and play Oracle, you insta win. Also 2 copies of syr Conrad, since you always make your creature leaves the graveyard to combo, you will do infinite damage as well. So you have other ways of winning

I don't understand how you can mill your opponent quicker than you'd mill yourself? You're milling yourself 3 every iteration of the combo (plus whatever you've done to set it up) and your opponent only for 2 for every iteration of the combo?
