@@samotter9509 is it? if i have my removal in early game they have no chance, they dont even care getting over turn 4 or 5, i wouldnt call that respectable.
Love this, out of the snow themed zombie decks I've seen so far this is definitely my favorite. I've gotta say though, that Meathook Massacre and Lolth without the snow package has been my favorite version so far. It's basically an aggro deck with aristocrats synergies and I've been loving it.
Luca I love this deck! I haven't been a fan of standard for awhile now, but this just might make me play again. I love historic though! I would LOVE to see what you can do with zombies in historic with these new cards! Keep up the great work man!!
I put morbid opportunist into my zombies as a way to draw more to avoid running out of steam and really loving it. With the decayed zombies and especially Jadar it gets you a draw every turn when you attack with the decayed token. And you can get a draw on opponents turn if something dies. A lot of value at 3 mana
I made a similar deck for the mid-week brawl. I also added in Poppet Stitcher which turns off the decayed effect and allows Jadar to make more zombies since they lose Decayed effect.
I’d love to see an esper version of this, that splashed kaya and leaned more towards the ‘blood money’ style of deck. Since blue is already a splash and mana fixing is pretty decent rn, I don’t think it would be too much of a stretch
@@taurelith4867 I mean we don’t have fetches, but the new innistrad duals are spectacular. There’s also snow duals and pathways. The style of deck I was talking about would also use treasure from 1 or more sources. Also, to have one card in each of the splash colors, each with 1 mana pip, is not a hard splash at all. Look at the party decks in the format, an Aggro deck that is playing like 3.5 colors
@jett hayes Blood on the snow really wants a snow mana base and going into three colors means at best you’ll get back a three drop. There’s something to be said for white black but three color means snow cards aren’t a possibility
I made a deck similar to this, and it's carried me to Gold (good for me, at least). I tried to include stuff like Narfi, but I found myself winning a lot more by going more aggro and low to the ground with stuff like Falcon Abomination, and going for single removals like Soul Shatter instead of Blood on the Snow or Crippling Fear. Also included Realmswalker to add some card advantage, but I'm still debating that one; Village Rites might just be the smarter option there
I've played nothing but zombies since innistrad came out and made a few tweaks to this shell. Went down to 3 jadar bec he is legendary. Went down 2 wight and up to 4 tainted adversary, that card is even better than it looks. And i replaced sweepers with Lolth spider queen for mid game. works very well with decayed. I also played with Falcon abomination a bit, seems promising.
I'm trying a midrange version with Poppet Stitcher, not going over 3cmc cards, relying more on tokens, based on decks I have been facing on Arena. So far the deck contains Lands (22); Creatures (24) : 4 Poppet, 4 Jadar, 4 Adversary or Wight, 4 Champion, 4 Skaab and 4 Shambling Ghast; and Support (14): 4 Flip the Switch, 4 Bloodchief Thrist or Infernal Grasp, 3 Village Rites & 3 Rotten Reunion (nice against blood money and clerics and combos with poppet). I have seen variations with Morbid Oportunist and/or board wipes with The Meathook Massacre, both working well with decay. Also some play Lolth, to abuse decay, but with Massacre and Lolth, the mana base must be stretched.
I'm struggling to find a meaningful 3 drop for zombies, came interested to see what you came up with. Disappointed to see no 3 drops at all but glad I'm not the only one lol
Village rites is great for card draw, might wanna consider deadly dispute for a replacement as it allows you sac either a creature or artifact and creates a treasure token as well.
Best magic content out there. If you're already sick of seeing/playing every other deck with Wrenn, Gold, Chariot and Epiphany this is the place to be. Edit: I guess CGB did just post a pretty cool vampire tribal/burn deck
I've been having lots of fun with a mono black aggro variant, courtesy of Magic Aids. it is surprisingly effective and catches many opponents off guard.
@@javelin9979 it's nothing competitive, i was mostly just inspired by Magic Aids plus I'm a F2P player so i make do with what I have available. but I guess I'll make a list: - 4x dungeon crawler -4x eye twitch -3x Malamir rebirth -4x village rites -2x Flunk -4x Grim wanderer -2x infernal Grasp -1x Null priest Oblivion -3x tainted adversary -2x vengeful strangler -3x wight -1x curse of leeches -1x graveyard trespasser -2x nighthawk scavenger -1x soul shatter -1x ebondeath dracolich -1x gelatinous cube -2x hive of the eye tyrant -19x swamp
How about a hybrid between this deck and that poppet deck you made last week? I tried it a bit, and when it goes off, it really goes off (champion of perished + ghoul caller + factory is pretty broken).
game 1 NOt attacking with Jadar did make a difference, opponent could block a 3/3 and go to 1 keeping the skullport alive, but attacking with Jadar would force them to block a 4 power creature.
Weird how in the 3rd match, the spirt and aspirant didn't die the second they hit the battlefield 🤔 it says until the end of turn meaning anything thag isn't a zombie should basically die?
@@LegenVD But it could give us some "Let's do this again" thing against control matchups or just after board sweepers. Of course, its not spicy as Voyage in Rogues (Im actually manage to mill 36 cards just by single Voyage returning all my rogues), since zombie doesn't have a lot of good etb triggers, but still. At least single copy should make a cut imho
@@Nink262 I'm no pro but I agree with you. In my mind, an aggro list you dont want to sweep your own creatures. Blood wants a game changing 5 or 6 drop to return. I do run two voyage and they've done well for me. If you havent won the game yet by turn 6/7, getting all your zombies back means you're not out yet.
@@tns4 He won two games by doing exactly that with Draugr in play. The zombies pressure early. Late game you can Blood+Draugr or Crippling fear. Voyage seems like jank and this deck doesn't have "free" turns to foretell. Also the format is full of exile effects. If you're behind bringing back a bunch of 1 to 4 power guys ain't gonna win you the game, clearing the entire board and "drawing 5" with draugr will.
Gisa has no zombie synergy, that's what's so annoying about her. Her effect doesn't make the returned creatures into zombies. As above poster said too; if you wipe with "blood on the snow" with Gisa in play you DON'T get their creatures, because the Gisa that exiled them left play; the one you have is a "new" Gisa. Draugr doesn't have that issue.
@@Bladius_ oh I thought that the creatures are zombies because they gain decay which is the zombie's mechanic in the set but you are right they don't gain the zombie type its very disappointing
Sometime i wonder about zombie with decayed, Like most of the zombie that the necromancer/stitcher create these days is damn fragile huh the mtga animation proves it
Blood on the snow single handedly removes so many interesting less-than-aggro creature decks from the format. Such a shame as there is quite a bit of tribal support for once.
