MTG Lore: Liliana Vess 

Wizards really does a good job of demonstrating why black is not evil per se. They also do a good job of showing how white is not good per se either. Lilianna is a good example of this.

She is so cool! I didnt know planeswalkers had such deep stories!

My favorite Planeswalker. The only thing I hate about her story is that everything that's wrong with her life is her fault. Her brother died and the only thing that can bring him back to life shouldn't be used but she uses it anyway. She sells her soul to a demon and, to get it back, she makes more deals with more demons. She uses a powerful artifact and tries to separate the bond she has with it but can't. Things went bad and her actions keep making things worse. She's very quickly becoming her own enemy.

Black is my favorite color of mana already, she has a great backstory, is the most believable character out of the gang, hates white (Angels more specifically) and she's hot. What's not to like? Now.. If I can just trade this M15 Garruk of mine for 3-4 M15 Liliana's...

Before today I never read up on a bit of mtg lore. I only ever played the game. I'm am so glad to have decided to give the lore a shot. Mtg really does have interesting characters with deep and personal stories. I'll continue watching these lord videos to soak up more of the mtg lore.

Awesome vid; really glad you decided to do Liliana, as I feel many dismiss her as just evil whereas she's really very human; she's trying to right her wrongs but making so many more in turn, and she really represents the black traits very well. Also are you ever planning on covering pre-Mending Planeswalker Lore? I'd love to see you do something for Urza, Jeska, Crovax and Yawgmoth!

I think it's interesting that her opening the Helvault for very selfish reasons was ultimately the thing that saved the entire plane of Innistrad, or at least the humans.

Great video, very informative and fun to watch! Though, I disagree that Lilliana can't be considered evil, or that her willful sins of the past can be considered 'mistakes'. This wonderful video showed me that she is definitely a fascinating and intriguing character, and yes, we can empathize with her motivations sometimes. But, just my opinion, evil is evil.

Seriously these videos are the coolest thing on youtube in my opinion. Listen to them all the time, keep 'em coming!!! :)

This needs to be updated. Especially with a bonus video of why Liliana is the hero in the story between her and Garruk.

What plane do you think will come after Takir? I have a theory that after Dragons of Takir we have Sorin markov asking and begging Ugin, the spirit dragon to return with him to Zendalar to end the eldrazi once and for all or trap them with more locks on the prison that anyone could actually open

How old is liliana vess? All places that state her age say "Over a century" years old, but her spark ignited before the mending. The mending was ages ago so shouldn't she be thousands of years old like sorin?? She still could be but it's odd that they say over a century and not many thousand years. . .

Liliana, The Last Hope was my first Planeswalker, come Monday September 18th 2017, I will be getting Liliana, Death's Majesty for my Zombie Deck and make it even STRONGER with each Black Zombies card lol Like Liliana, I seek power and I want to crush my enemies and come out victorious of having one of the best Zombie Decks in my state.

After Return to Ravnica, Theros block and now Khans, I hope we eventually return to Liliana's story.

I hope that the the final Demon she must vanquish will be the Planeswalker Ob Nixilis. The final 2 demons have already been revealed, but perhaps Ob Nixilis could exchange deals with the last demons, seeing as they are now a target or just kill them over it. Ob Nixilis could try and use his authority over her to serve his malevolent interests. And It would definitely make the Lore of MTG much more interesting.

If I may ask, I enjoy your videos a lot.But if I may ask if you are thinking of Ajani next? He has such a sad background, that he would make an interesting lore video to delve into. Ajani is a vary underrated planeswalker. Everything he cares for dies: His brother Jazal, his love/friend Elspeth, and his people. Yet he bares this pain and keeps him going, and this pain just makes him stronger. Acting with conviction and perseverance I will admit he begins as a conflicted individual and goes to pure white. He is for the most part unrelenting hope. He is in my opinion white personified more than any white planesalker. As there is little lore about him or is a jumbled mess. Keep on doing these great videos thank you

Never really had a favorite Planeswalker, but now knowing the lore here, Liliana might just be the first. Kind of disappointing that Jace is a love interest. Mind magic is cool, and I like playing with blue, but Jace just bores the hell out of me lore-wise.

I love the videos, but there are a few issues I take with it. The biggest thing is that the word "cast" is it's own past tense, and "casted" is only used in terms of acting and theatre. Keep up the good work, though.
