Yes indeed dirt falling inside a two stroke will take years off it's life if not destroy it. Cleanliness is next to godliness when it comes to two stroke engines. Zeromark202
Got a 590 last year for a pretty decent deal. On sale plus 10% military for a 24 inch bar. Before any gas touched it I popped the limiters and bored the muffler. I have no clue if it made a difference since I never ran it stock. But it tuned nicely and sings in the wood now. Next I may try a 620 carb and coil but haven’t decided yet. They really are great saws for the money.
Don't remember, a friend gave it to me. Asked him what size it is, waiting for a reply back. Or just get the o-ring assortment box from Harbor Freight for a few $ and have everything you need for many projects if he doesn't get back to me in time.
Probably does void the warranty. The local Echo dealer said they wouldn't honor the warranty of my saw since it was bought online via Amazon so I modded it. The saw actually runs a little cooler as the engine now breathes better.
A Husky rancher will eat that saw for breakfast bro. It’s not about size, it’s about RPM’s , and my Huskies rev more than anything available today. Echo saws warble and wobble in the wood. Echo makes great equipment with a superior warranty of 5 years, but doesn’t hold a candle to its supposed lesser the Husqvarna Rancher series . A great homeowner saw. Just my two cents, share your thoughts
The Echo CS-590 makes more power than either the Husqvarna Rancher 455 and 460. For the same money as the Rancher 460, the Echo 620p will smoke it. That saw is on par for power eith the Arigl 362 and Husqvarna 562xp.
SxS, stock v stock, a 590 will cut faster than a 450 or a 455, and is slightly faster than a 460. RPM's mean absolutely ZERO if your saw doesnt have the torque to keep them in the power band regardless of brand loyalties.
I've got a 590 and a 450. The only edge the 450 has is weight. I don't have a tach but I'd say rpms are close, but the 590 has the balls the 450 doesn't so it the seems faster. If I could run 2 saws at once I'd race them. I'd put my money on the 590.
