for anyone wondering what the bad ending is: if you burn the girl the boiler glows green and then going back to the van is almost the same, but instead of saying good job, the dialogue goes "what? you burned the girl? whatever just get in the van". then, the player _wakes up_ and the girl in the observation is replaced by the player, i.e whatever tests were supposed to be done on the girl would've now gotten done on the player. yes i am a whole year late.

I absolutely love the last bit of Mark defending the girl and telling Bob and Wade to not burn the little girl, it's such a good scene and I would love to see it animated

27:35 so coming back to this video I saw this part again and it’s honestly weird that I haven’t seen any comments pointing out the text spoken at the end of the game. The first time I’d heard it I’d realized it’s a reference to Emily Wants To Play and its plot synopsis (since you play as a pizza delivery guy who enters a haunted house, blah blah blah)

When talking about the fate of the girl, I love how Mark seems like the most sensible one, seemingly trying to avoid killing a child...until you see the non-descriptive white windowless van that the group apparently drives, which is one "free candy" sign away from being a abductor van.
