The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit (MRT) system serving the city of Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region in Maharashtra, India. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority is the responsible authority for maintaining the metro system. Maha Metro is responsible for all the metro rail projects undergoing in Maharashtra except the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. The system is designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city, and supplement the overcrowded Mumbai Suburban Railway network.

Before leaving from Mumbai, please cover line 6 too.. one of the most important metro line in Mumbai, connecting line 2, 3, 4, 7, eastern expressway, Western expressway, sv road, lbs marg, and western and eastern railway lines 🤯 Also with double decker flyover

Lovely footage as usual. While most of the infra projects seemed to have gained pace- unfortunately this one is already 6 years and I'd say its only 25% of the work done. I don't see Metro running on this section before 2025- though I wish to be proved wrong.

Bro even though you showed proposed phase 2 station locations.. I think it won't make much sense as work is not started , you could have covered kapurbavli more how it will connect with line 4

Phase 1 will take 2026 December and phase 2 from Bhiwandi to Kalyan will take 2035 at least if it's going to get worked in first place, as mostly phase 2 going to get scrapped, as it's not the political scenario causing the problem this time ; but the people of that area are the big nuisance as they don't want things to progress especially the local transport lobby and resident businesses.

Connectivity with metro 4 seems interesting. At kapurbavdi, I guess they are buidling total 4 tracks with option to switch lines without leaving the station.

@@dronemanYT Yeah key was joining through to Taloja Diva-Panvel railway line/Navi Mumbai metro. Ambernath is a bit far out of the way. People from there can still travel to Khoni to get to this line.

Do u know that Thane district is the most populated district in India With estimate 1.25cr population kalyan, dombivli, ulhasnagar, bhiwandi, ambernath, badlapur mira bhayander, vasai, virar. All these cities have population of above 5lakh

@@anujkbudhkar I agree, much of it would have been fine with over-ground metro instead of expensive and slow tunneling. It'd be built faster, and be cheaper, and thus benefit the region. However, this is what happens when low-educated shopkeepers and grifters protest and complain about progress.

The most corrupted politician are in bhiwandi...The new construction road from kasheli to rehanal village is worst.. worst sever line... 120 crores road project is worst.... The politicians in kalyan were giving free cable for votes for many years. After 25 years, the people in kalyan suddenly woke up and realised all their roads very mostly small and narrow zigzag gallis. No roads means no proper ST bus service. No bus meant rikshaw over population which caused non-stop traffic jams 😂. A city will only develop when its people develop.
