I have been listening to metal, hard rock... mostly experimental... (don’t want to sound like a snob) for just under 40 years Muse has it all. The balls, the skill, the story.... impeccable , soul destroying MUSic One of the best 🕺🏻
I was there. Couldn't believe they played it. it's been my fav Muse song ever since I heard it more than 15 years ago and I've been blessed enough to hear it live. Long live Muse.
Wow ..... I watched the 2004 performance and tbh I was impressed with how good 11 years later they sounded. And Matt damn honestly in this song and just I can tell how far they’ve come and his vocals actually in this live performance he held the falsetto longer and it was more crisp and clear I loved it fucking love muse
Dan Oelker people actually try and say he doesnt have what OOS and Showbiz Matt had. You can hear it in a lot of his newer stuff, he didn’t lose his voice, his voice matured and became richer
I turn 40 in 20 days, but every time I see a video of Muse I come back to 2007 (when I first watched them live) and I feel like I can't help shouting out "MAAAATTT, MERRY MEEEEEEEEEE!!!" 😂Totally in love with them, then, now and forever. I miss them so much, since my last live show was in 2012... I hope I can come back soon to sing their songs in front of the stage!
My favorite song of all time. So musically brilliant - captures every emotion- love muse- and will continue to see them live every time they come to sf on the hopes of seeing them play this live. It’s just so good. Can never get enough.
Each time i'm listenning this song and specially this live, tears goes out from my eyes and thrill is rocking all around my arms. I can't remember what song did exactly this same feeling to me, except maybe "Hysteria" from the same band....
Joseph Bisconer I wrote that a while back, but I think what I meant is that there’s a part that starts at 1:17 where it looks like he’s pretending to strum 8th notes to stay on time but it doesn’t sound like he’s playing all of them, just thought it was a different way of essentially tapping his foot to keep with it
@@Viper-dz2kw Thought that was standard guitar technique? Also ensures that your up-strums are on the off-beat and makes sure that you're playing correct rhythm I think
Joseph Weaver I’m mainly a bass player in a two piece band, though I play guitar occasionally in our less distorted songs as it’s way easier to convey a softer emotion with guitar, but I’d always just put my hand at rest whenever I wasn’t strumming usually
Been listening to this version since its release, no other cover beats the piano and Matt’s haunting voice in the latter half. Pure mastery, what I’d give to listen to this version live.
0:13 and that is when the song went from good to great 3:59 and that is when the song when from great to amazing 6:42 and that is when the song went from amazing to legendary
Break me in, teach us to cheat And to lie, cover up What shouldn't be shared And the truth's unwinding Scraping away at my mind Please stop asking me to describe For one moment I wish you'd hold your stage With no feelings at all Open-minded I'm sure I used to be so free Self-expressed, exhausting for all To see and to be What you want and what you need The truth's unwinding Scraping away at my mind Please stop asking me to describe For one moment I wish you'd hold your stage With no feelings at all Open-minded I'm sure I used to be so free For one moment I wish you'd hold your stage With no feelings at all Open-minded I'm sure I used to be so free Wash me away Clean your body of me Erase all the memories They will only bring us pain And I've seen, all I'll ever need
Wow that Manson E-Series guitar actually looks small, and fits perfectly for Matt's body posture than his regular Manson MB.. I though it would be bigger since it was a 7 string
I remember 10+ years ago trying to learn this song on my 6 string guitar trying to mimic as best I could Matt's skills and sound but to no avail. My hands are much bigger now though so maybe I'll get an 8 string guitar
