Bravo.
jesus christ that Panther is scaring me, i would never ever dare to even look at this thing during the war, it's the scariest looking vehicle ever made, it doesn't even need a cannon, it would scare away the enemy anyways.
wow so many tanks T-34, FT-17, panzer 2,Char B1 Bis, M10, an LVT (with a howitzer mounted on it) , a ZSU(no idea which one) panzerkampfwagen v panther,a bat chatillion 155 58 SPG, a Lorraine SPG in the background, what looks like an amx13 with duel 30 mm guns, and a LAV of some sort no clue which one they all seem to look the same. this museum is the largest in the world they even have multiple panzerkampfwagen VI tigers and a Königstiger!!
The King of all tanks. Even for 21st century MBT's Standards, this tank its massive. Imagine seing one appear in front of you 85 years ago. Would be the Last thing you ever seen in life. Ruled Supreme, in is short career. The allied tank crews, must have prayed a lot, Just to not encounter one of this Beast in their path. The Ultimate machine of WW2.
Cela peut intéresser certains. me contacter.
it is a shame there was not commentary throughout as there were one or two vehicles I was not sure of, perhaps with editing? Merci beaucoup, I don't care for the language if it is good it is worth me learning a few words on the way. Thanks
In fact they do have a running Tiger II, they dont show it everytime but there are videos of it, it's been abandoned by its crew at the end of the war and cptured by the French who maintained it.
It's not really a tank, it's a landing craft fitted with a turret called "LVT (A)-4". The turret on top is turret of the 75 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M8.
+The Gaming Channel - Have you been to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford? Go for a long walk to the far end of the airstrip, beyond the American Aircraft exhibit and you'll see a T34-85 and several other Soviet AFVs. They also have good 1st WW, 2nd WW, Korean War and Iraqi War exhibits.
To be fair it was a little funny. Poor thing looked like it was going to shake apart a couple of times lol. But yes in its day I bet it was still awe inspiring and put fear in opposing troops.
Yahbozo12 This FT-17 is the first modern tank in History, the first with a turret , it was the best tank of WW1, France could never win this war without it.
+FLYINGsrob No, this is an M-10 tank destroyer or an M-36 Jackson, depending on its gun: The M-10 initially possessed the 76,2mm gun, while later models got the 76mm gun with better armor-piercing qualities. The M-36 was armed with a 90mm gun. The same tank appears later in the movie at 11:00, presenting its muzzle. I cannot recognize whether it has a 76mm or 90mm diameter.
It's a shame that they only speak French there, it's a international museum, so speak english for god sake! But they don't get it in France.... everywere you come they only speak french.... Pa de calais, normandie.... real shame, i speak english, german, dutch and a little bit frensh. Eat that France ;)
Even if it's an international museum, in France, they will present it in French since it's their language, And of course if you go anywhere in France, they will talk to you in French, again, it's their language, just like Germany speaks german, France speaks french.
Mikhael Beauparlant I touch nobody want dany that Frenchs speaks French ... but here in Germany, for example, they present there stuff at "international" events in German and English, becuase the respect to international visitors who do not speak German and even want to understand something. It's how it is, English is the most spoken language on earth ...
d sfcsz THAN ... than the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung Koblenz is very backward ^^ ... in the region where i life we even has description boards in several languages (German, English, Polish, Czech and Sorbian)
Ever been to the cathédrale Saint-Louis des Invalides? Do you have a place like that in your country, where the flag of those vanquished by your army are on display to slowly rot with the passing of time?
French lost Battle of France in 1940, but they fought honorably. most of the B1 and Somua S35 resisted well against panzer III and IV, but they were circled by the germans after the lost of Sedan.
