We love the mushroom “buns”, only problem is, they are super filling. It’s a struggle to finish it all. Love your recipe Cheeky! Yum yum yum. Thanks for sharing. 🌺🌸

Thank you Lucy, as a child I lived on a dairy farm, after rain there were always lots of mushrooms to cook with. I wish I’d tried this recipe then, when the mushrooms were so fresh and readily available. We always made them into a sauce with milk to pour over steak or chicken, I never even considered making them into a burger at the time. Haven’t food uses changed and adapted to different creative applications over time? I’m really enjoying experimenting with new ways to utilise fresh produce to save waste. I have had a couple of days away catching up with a few friends I have made on youtube, we had a lovely time and of course ate some delicious meals and had lots of laughs and chats about food snd travels. It was only a short break but it felt like a wonderful holiday Which was very relaxing. Hope you are keeping safe and well. Our weather is warming up a bit now, I even managed to have a lovely swim the other day. I must admit I do prefer the warmer seasons. Hope you are still able to enjoy some warm days in your garden before it gets too cool for you. Thank you for watching and have a great day.;-))

My goodness , it’s still very hot there, I thought it would be cooling down a bit by now. Yes it was lovely to catch up with dear friends. Much has been happening here of late and it was nice to take a step back, for a couple of days to recharge the batteries. We are well and doing our best to keep isolated, so many people depending on us at the moment. We are being very careful and I’m glad to hear you are too. I do worry about you and we are getting to a very vulnerable age during this pandemic. I’m pleased to hear you are coping with all the restrictions and health warnings.I’m really looking forward to this thing being an unpleasant piece of history we have left well and truly behind, for the sake of all the children and the generations yet to come.

Hi Cheekyricho. Oooh this does look rather yummy. A great combination of veggies and just that little bit of meat. Well done, I like this 👍🤤😀. I just watched Greg's Kitchen and his guest, Chesca made vegan burgers. It must be the season for healthy meals. Your last had me thinking and I made a chicken breast schnitzel with a veggie (plant based) patty and salad burger. It was the nicest burger I'd made in a long time. I also made a Avocado, banana and zucchini loaf. It's very moist and surprisingly not sweet considering what went into it. A nice healthy cake for a change. I used the avocado and banana loaf recipe (YT) and added a small grated zucchini. I was short by half the almond flour, so I used SF flour to make up the difference and then some extra as the mix was a bit wet. Used EV olive and avocado oils instead of the coconut oil, honey and golden syrup and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar. A very simple and quick cake. I used a beater instead of the food processor. Combine the wets in a bowl, combine the drys in a bowl and then gently combine together. Bake 180 for 40-50 mins. It was 40 mins for mine. 🤤👍😀 Thanks for another healthy and inspiring recipe today. Cheers Cheekyricho.

Gee John I just realised I hadn’t replied to your lovely comment. You must think me terrible rude. I did make your recipe suggestion but made it into muffins with my Little Mouses help. Whilst I was grating the zucchini she kept screwing her nose up and protesting”I don’t like cucumber Nanny, I don’t want that in my muffin.” I told her she wouldn’t taste it and it was only there to keep it moist AND it’s zucchini not cucumber lol A small batch of 6 because that was the tin size at her house and she ate 3 out of the 6, so that’s a keeper. We were going to make a video of it but some little friends turn up and the whole thing turned into a giggle fest lol. I didn’t research the recipe, just winged it GF with things in her pantry, dash of vanilla and a sprinkle of raw sugar on the top before cooking and gave it a nice crunchy crust when baked.. I will be making it again and we thank you for sharing the idea. We made it the day you posted this reply and for some reason I thought I had commented and told you about our success, if I have already snd just can’t find it at present please excuse doubling up, I haven’t lost my marbles… well not all of them….yet. We had a hail storm here this afternoon and Little mouse’s freezer is filled with hail stones. She washed them first and put some in her juice. She called them SKYCE cubes. The funny things little kids say. She told me a Dad joke “What do you call a kangaroo with no legs? Hopless! That cracked me up, most of her knock knock jokes are made up on the fly and make zero sense. You have to pretend you get it or it’s funny but this one came out of the blue and she was so proud of herself, when she delivered it perfectly. Anyway John hope you are staying safe and well. Forgive me for not getting back to you on this one. I used to watch Greg’s kitchen a lot, my favourite was his Man Can Pie, he tended to make blokey style hang over remedy meals and I enjoyed his sense of humour. He’s friend is Anna from Cooking with Karma but she has stopped uploading regularly and gone vegan. I preferred her crazy sweets and earlier recipes because she did a new ‘theme’ each week which was a lot of fun. So many great Aussie youtube creators that don’t get the recognition they deserve, it’s a shame really because there is a lot of untapped talent out there. Just my personal opinion, for what it’s worth.;-))

@@CheekysKitchen Thanks for replying Cheekyricho. I was kinda wondering why you initially hadn't. I loose track of replies too if I don't immediately answer them. I'm glad miss mouse enjoyed the recipe (without the cucumber). I have adopted her term Skyce 👍😂. The other day it absolutely bucketed down (car wash strength) while I was parked up in the car. Then when I was able to see and hear again I drove off to a shower of of pea sized Skyce..😀 I thought, now comes the Bead Wash... Isn't that supposed to be first 🤔. Yes I agree there's so much Aussie based YT talent out there, but hey??? Why aren't we watching it as much as others overseas and faraway. I admit I've been watching Bald Foodie Guy first and foremost of recent. He's smashed the subscription rate from 7k - 50k in just 2 months. There's something about the way he comes across, not in your face and also his Northern accent. Well he admits he can't cook but he tries. No flies on your prowess Cheekyricho. He can't hold a candle to you. So I'd better catch up on anything I've missed from your channel. I hope you and the family are all doing well. See you soon 👍😀

I checked out the Bald Food guy, you’re right, he does have a nice accent. I watched is drive around Manchester. Richo’s daughter spent 2 years working in Manchester and bolted home before Covid shut the international borders. Had she stayed longer and without Covid he had planned to visit her. The light in English videos always seems dull and grey, I’ve not been to a Europe and the way things are going we probably won’t get there Either. I made this one pot chicken dinner with lots of verges and raw curly pasta in the Ninja Foodi, some mustard and fresh herbs and served with steamed asparagus and chiko off our vine. Richo loved it, I don’t have much of an appetite at the moment and I found it to too mild/ bland for my taste. Home made chicken Parmigiana tonight, a few low carb verges and I had to put half of mine away for tomorrow, not up to eating my usual plate sized meals yet. Isn’t it wonderful that we have so much choice on RU-vid we can cook things, fix things, get a giggle or travel anywhere we want from the comfort of our favourite chair. I start off enquiring about something and end up several hours later no where near my starting point.I try to learn new things everyday. Cheap selectable entertainment, available anytime. It’s the best time waster yet lol.

@@CheekysKitchen Yes I too get side tracked and side tracked and so on, then I can't remember what it was I'm looking for Doh!.. Ooopsy I fudged the figures there for BFG's subs, it's 7k-15k... Not 50k. Now the boarders are opening up again (restrictions apply) I hope they'll be some sort of normality. Still getting into Qld is at a cost.. stupidity rules. Sad some won't be able to afford the extra costs to see family and friends over Christmas. So much for the spirit of giving.

Yes I know, my surgeon is in Queensland, I am able to travel for medical reasons, double vaxxed I hope my next appointment doesn’t require Covid tests at the border. I am very happy to see RU-vid creators enjoy success, it’s not easy and any encouragement, sharing or support makes such a difference. I find the interaction with my viewers to be most rewarding and interesting. I learn so much about other cultures and lifestyles, generally my viewers are kind,,friendly, helpful and good fun. The odd troll doesn’t take away from the way my channel has enriched my life and given me a purpose and goal to continue sharing ideas and recipes, with my wonderful audience. I honestly don’t know where I would be without it. A huge thanks to you guys for help making it happen.;-))👍🙏🏻😋🥰
