The composer is such a goat. He made OSTs for haikyuu and mha as well. You say run from mha is one of my favorite OSTs of all time, you should definitely check it out
makes me really happy to see a person, get from A to B . literally from knowing nothing about anime, a medium that has helped me so much in the past and still doing it today, to Talking about Death parade as an anime that makes him feel some type of nostalgia, and then theres the music aspect hi brings to the mix!!!! Thanks Tony for all your hard work !
Completely agree, Death Parade's music is such a treat. I loved the opening so much I still listen to a lot of Bradio's music today 😂 Also, as an alto saxophone player, you speak facts. We need more saxophone in other music!
appreciation for music that is not mainstream is something I am grateful for and you do a great job helping those of us who struggle to find all these 'reasons' that we are drawn to the music
It always makes me so happy whenever someone finishes Death Parade, such an amazing show. Really stands out in the long history of music and film, not just anime. And its soundtracks is one big reason why the show is so impactful.
Death Parade is such a classic. To this day, Moonlight Night brings me to tears. It's such a heartbreaking, sincere story. Thank you for listening to the OST and I'm so glad you experienced the story as well.
You should check out Mushoku Tensei Openings Full Versions, there folkloric theming atleast for the first 6 openings is really interesting and Yuiko Ohara's voice on top of that just cements those openings as greats for me.
Super late to this, yet still wanted to say how much I love everything about Death Parade. The music, the characters, what it makes you think about it's just great. Also the way the strings are plucked at the beginning of the song reminds me sooo much of this one cover of Corridor of Time - Chrono Trigger by moonbowmusic. If you haven't checked out any of the Chrono Trigger/Chrono Chross OSTs please do so the background music in these games will definitely take you on a journey. My favorites are Corridors of Time, Wind Scene and Time's Scar
Your comments about the Saxophone in this piece reminds me a ton of the Halo: ODST song Difference for Darkness You're wandering alone, lost, and at night, through a war torn city on earth that's overrun by alien invaders. It has a soulful saxophone solo with delay and reverb thrown on it and it's such a surreal and beautifully desolate experience. I'd highly recommend listening to it if you haven't already
Since we're on death parade, I recommend listening to some of Bradio's songs as well. Check out Golden Liar by them whenever you get a chance, could even make for a video. 😁
If you love Yuki Hayashi’s music and his feelings-compact OSTs then you should check “Run With the Wind” OSTs He himself said this album is his favorite
The fact you watch the anime is really nice. A big part of anime music for me as a big DCI marching guy is visual and musical moments. The music of howls moving castle is amazing, but paired with the visuals we all know and love, it ads a whole new context. good work and maybe check out kakeguri or one piece next
Death Parade is so good, I’ve watched it on my teenage years. When you found out the answer, it really hurts your soul. Another recommended anime with GREAT soundtrack but fucked up plotline is Zankyou no Terror.
Chaos ga Kiwamaru by Unison Square Garden from Blue Lock is a big change in terms of music compared to this but it’s AMAZING and if you’re going to make another popular anime intros reaction, that should be on it
Nice video, Death Parade is not a series I have watched yet but would like to, the opening is iconic too. Anyway, as I suggested you should check out Mushoku Tensei's season 2 opening - Spiral by Longman - I think its a great song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y7jskzeZsa4.html&ab_channel=AOGMusic
