Your positive vibe rly cheers me up and ofc the info for me who put 80 of my tracks on distrokid last week and is wondering: wtf do i do now to make bank and pay dem bills is where its at....thanks man!
Not even gonna lie Wavy. I use Distrokid for distro and I used 1 of your templates to record my first song I released through them. Bout to hit my 1st 10k streams this wk. dropping my EP in Feb. Thank you for all your advice and help mane 💯🙌🏾🙏🏾
Hey, just found you on YT. I make techno/EDM, but I stopped on one of your vids because of the dopest STL Blues shirt I had ever seen. It was the STL flag in the Blue Note. I subbed just for that. I’m from STL, went to HS at VAP (north side, off Grand). Just wanted to say hey.
Love your videos! Thanks so much for the content! Just a quick question, I can't seem to figure out how to link the music video on youtube to Distrokid? Are they completely seperate? Does DistroKid only look after the song on RU-vidMusic and not on the RU-vid channel? THanks so much for your help :)
A Yo Waaaaaaaavy Waaaaaaayne!!!! I have a question Bro...If I have beats on Beat Stars, can I put those same instrumentals on DISTOKID/can I put instrumental singles as well?
Hey I have a specific question maybe you could answer quickly , on my pixel page /landing page for my new single , should I include other links ? Or just Spotify (my main focus is Spotify but I wouldn’t wanna miss out on other streams if someone doesn’t use Spotify) Thanks for any help
Hey bro actually I am building my own home studio .so I am thinking of purchasing some studio monitors . I got two options JBL305p mkii and presonas eris 5 .so can you please suggest me one which is more flat and good🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I subscribed to your channel because you have the personus fader port just like me I also produce an engineer all my own music! Kudos to you sir! I’m about ready to sign up for distro kid musician package “middle package“ Trying to get paid for my beats. I’ve been doing this for a long time and now it’s time to professionalize myself. Do you sell instrumental beats on distrokid? Was wandering how to do that.
Decent review but there’s a bunch bunch of hidden fees for distrokid. Like for content ID and other things like adding to new stores you have to pay a fee per year per song. There’s also a fee if you want to keep your songs up forever. That adds up if you have a catalog of more than 15 songs. Also with distrokid if you don’t pay the yearly fee they take your music down making you lose spots on playlists, links, and all of that. So to know that kind of sucks. CD baby or OneRPM takes a commission but they offer great stats and other services outside of what distrokid offers. Cd baby offers vinyl and physical cds. Onerpm has video distribution and are great for new artists and artists making under $2,000 a year for their music. If you’re making more than $2,000 you might want to go with Tunecore or OneRpm but distrokid seems like it’s not a good deal due to the (hidden) annual fees
I did the spotify playlist already a week ago and when i do it again for another track distro says: "This will overwrite your current track for SOLAR and reset votes to 0. Continue?" Can you only have one track on a playlist at one time? That if true seems very lame...
@wayne.wav aye mane! I’m a young engineer just starting out what’s your thoughts on getting the Krk classic 5 for mixing do you think it’s suitable for a home studio?
I know this is somewhat of an older question, but just for perspective, I had KRK Rokit 8 speakers and they were great. You might want to add a sub to the KRK 5 at some point. Another pair to check out would be the Kali Audio LP6.
