Watched a 2007 interview with Ann & Nancy Wilson, where they said, they co-founded Heart. It's not the first time they've said that. It's so frustrating that music journalists don't call them out on that lie. I love Ann & Nancy, but Roger & Steve deserve the truth and recognition that they are the co-founders.

Ego and money seem to ruin everything, and I guess Ann & Nancy became, over time, hooked into those vices. I understand that Mike and Steve want to be tactful in what they say, but it is also important to kind of set the record straight about what happened. Good interview.

sigh... idk how I got here, went down a rabbit hole so here goes. I grew up listening to Heart in the 70s ... my last purchased album was Bebe le Strange. As a 'baby adult' worked in a pool bar and suffered having to repeatedly hear "These Dreams" over and over again x 1,000,000. Sadness. Will always wonder what could have been. Had THE WORST crush on Steve Fossen in High School, only bested by Bon Scott. Always wondered what happened to the guys. Early Heart was so 🔥, miss that era of them and wish there'd been more.

Private Audition, the album that was Steve and Mike’s last, was dreadful.

Mike and Steve could be twins.

Unfortunately, rock became big business. Ann and Nancy moved on and became successful. The band members that were voted out are bitter. I get it that’s a hard pill to swallow. But if they had become equally successful then they wouldn’t be so bitter. They all are very talented. You can’t fault the sisters for moving on.

What doesn't make sense is Steve trying to say Ann & Nancy were greedy & not wanting to share credit. Take a look at the next album Passionworks with Denny & Mark & they have cowriting credits & do on all the albums they did with Heart. It's obviously something more & their resentment & attitude was most likely. Ann & Nancy didn't want to deal with that negativity so went on on their own. Nothing was stopping the other guys to show what they had.

@@emmabauer1906 exactly. The band broke up what was Ann and Nancy supposed to do. Just give up on music.

Ann became very successful. She tripled her weight and became an alcoholic. They sold their souls. I guess some people consider that success

Ann became very successful. She tripled her weight and her alcoholism got much worse. Both are rich but do not know how to manage their money. Nancy was still doing drugs right into the 2000s. She mentioned in an interview that she would basically be broke if she stopped touring. Neither one had biological kids. Apparently Nancy went through hell trying. I'm not sure what your metric is of being successful.
